“Quick and easy”

The hotel was easy to get to by car from I90. It had a free parking lot that filled up by 9 pm. Parking was tight so anything bigger than a mini van didn't fit. Although the neighborhood seemed safe there wasn't much around it. We walked 15 blocks to find a place for breakfast ( McCormick Place) that wasn't the snack bar in the hotel. Lovely, upscale, spacious rooms. Other guests seemed to be there for specific events, ball game at Soldier Field , local parade, etc.

“Will definitely recommend to friends”

This was our first stay at the Chicago South Loop Hotel - but definitely not the last. The service people were incredibly friendly and helpful. When you go to the L26 restaurant (which I would recommend) ask for the server named DeeDee and you will be delighted with the service and her extremely friendly attitude. The room itself was amazingly large - and comes with a separate sitting room. Very clean. Well maintained. Will definitely return to the Chicago South Loop Hotel, and recommend it to others.

“Chicago is awesome”

The Chicago South Loop Hotel was an excellent choice. It is only a short walk to the red line train. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any request. The room was very nice. It was a lot bigger than we had expected. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Chicago.

“nice inexpensive hotel near downtown”

This hotel was a great deal for the price. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathrooms have large bathtubs. There was nice flat screen TV in our room that we could plug our laptop into. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or coffee maker in our room (which we expected after reading previous reviews). However there is a small coffee shop/cafe downstairs. There is also a restaurant which is open for breakfast and dinner, but it has extremely poor service (it took us almost an hour to get our food). We were staying at the hotel for IMTS. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from McCormick center. It is also about a 10 minute walk from Chinatown, where there are lots of shops where you can get a quick bite to eat, etc.

“Impressed”

I was looking for a hotel to overnight. The weekend I went to Chicago it was one of the busiest and I couldn't find anything around downtown. So, I decided very reluctantly to book this hotel on the south loop. When we arrived I was really pleased to see that the parking was gated and that we didn't have to pay for it. The receptionist was very funny and friendly. Later we asked for suggestion to eat out and she arranged everything, even the reservation. The room was super big, we didn't even need that much space. This is a totally renovated hotel. Everything seemed new. I enjoyed my very short visit, I think if I had to go for work or to McCormick I would like to go back. It is a bit far from the action, but there are taxis or if you feel like using the subway there is one close by. We took a taxi to the other side of town. I don't have any bad things to say about the hotel. I liked it.

“Nice, clean & convenient!”

Hotel was very clean! Had a little problem at check in with our room type, but in the end was straightened out. Elevators seem to have problems. 2nd time we have been there and had an elevator not work. They are also very slow. Best to use stairs if not carrying luggage! Rooms are very clean! Love the divided rooms! Could hear el train on east side of building, but was muffled enough that it did not bother my sleep, Not much in immediate area for food, etc, but restaurant in hotel smelled good! Also have small bar. Only short taxi ride to downtown or Sheds, etc.

“Short walk to McCormick convention center.”

Free parking will save u $$ compared to downtown Chicago hotels. Clean and spacious room with 2 queen beds. 3 computers and printer in office support room to use. Helpful concierge. #29 bus will take you downtown to shopping, restaurants, Fine Art Institute, library, and hiking distance to John Hancock building.
