Great Hotel

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: The lounge/computer room. Very relaxing and refreshments are provided all day.
Cons: Nothing really, except bigger rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Location: There is a lot of shopping and placing to eat.
Hotel is very nice and in walking distance to shopping. They have a great assistance for internet. However, the rooms are a little small.

Nice hotel very central in the Chicago Loop

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Cons: Size of the rooms
Location: Very well centrally loczated in the business district in the Chicago Loop.
Very pleasant stay . Staff is very nice. Location is great. Fitness center is bigger than you would expect for such a boutique hotel. The only semi-negative comment is about the small size of the roooms. They are still more than adequate for a single and OK for a double.

Hotel staff was exceptional. Carpets/furnishings starting to show their age, but they were adequate. Room cleanliness left a bit to be desired (a couple of things were VERY dusty and it looked like the floor hadn't been vacuumed) but it was acceptable. Location is excellent for any loop destinations.

i was sick during i stayed in the hotel. I can take a rest well. But it can't prohibit the sound from the outside. Sometimes it makes me annoying.

Horrible Experience

Posted 28-Oct-2014
Pros: Shower
Cons: Bed
Location: Neighborhood is great. Theaters, great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Millers Pub.
We attended a show at the Chicago Theater on Friday October 24, 2014. When we searched for a hotel that was nearby we found this one. According to the reviews it was a good choice. What we found was beyond disappointing. Once we checked in and got to our room, it was tucked into an alcove and the room was very small. It had real glass coffee cups and real glass cups. The problem as we know is that they are NEVER cleaned or replaced, only wiped down by staff. Look at the cart next time and you will never see glasses on them. We had to pay almost $200.00 for the night and was supposed to get a king size bed. What we got was two single beds pushed together. Not even one sheet, but two. The mattress was the most uncomfortable thing I had ever slept on with a big gap in the middle. When we left, the staff never inquired about our stay. Most likely, was they didn't care. The shower was nice though. For the money there are much better choices nearby.

Good Value Downtown Chicago

Posted 28-Oct-2014
Traveled on business to the financial district in Chicago. Hotel very convenient for walking. Standard rooms were small but comfortable. Enjoyed the filtered chilled water dispensers on each floor and the bar/restaurant next door was great for a nightcap. The only issue was parking. The valet was kind of pricey and the self park was a 3 block walk, though the hotel validated the parking ticket for a reduced daily rate. Overall a good experience on a business trip to Chicago.

Excellent location, good standard hotel

Posted 22-Oct-2014
Pros: Location and reliable facilities.
Cons: A little pricey.
Location: Very central for downtown, walkable to Union Station, Arts Institute (which was amazing, worth every penny) and the Architecture Society.
We chose the one up from standard room and there was plenty of space, comfortable bed and decent bathroom. Shower was large and powerful. Wifi worked well in room and elsewhere. Downstairs lounge was newly fitted out and comfortable, although we spent a very short time there. Breakfast in the "English Pub" adjoining the hotel was fine, the pub got busy in the evenings and looked a lively place.
