“clean - a good value”

a clean room with a great staff that was knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. A great value in a convenient location on I-88 tollway. It is challenging to find the driveway at night and there is a median that could damage your car if you are not watching closely due to poor lighting (city issue). Once you get there it is a pleasant experience.

st. charles has antique stores and other touristy destinations for the family.

“Not impressed at all”

The hotel was not easy to get to. Small signs, driving through an un-lit parking lot of a vacant, run down building, to a small, overgrown frontage road. Not very inviting at all. Mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. Pool was broken. Internet was down. Security latch on the door was broken. Breakfast was marginal at best. Will not go back.

Area recommendations
Go to the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in St. Charles instead.

“Good balance between quality and comfort for the area.”

This is a typical chain hotel you find near highway exits. The access road to the hotel is slightly confusing (behind an anbandoned commercial site), but the hotel itself is fairly new and in very good condition. The breakfast is mediocre, but at the price I could not complain too much.

“Ok”

We were in Aurora for a family funeral, so we didn't spend too much time at the hotel. It was completely acceptable. My 5 year old was a little disappointed in the pool, since it was "just" a pool. My only problem wasn't exactly with the hotel, but I Googled directions, and it took us through a kind of scary drive. I found an easier way to get there. Not coming off of I-88, it was not easy to get to the hotel.

“Difficult to find”

Somewhat difficult to find. Difficult to locate from the road, plus the sign on the building was unlit.

“Convenient Location”

This hotel was very nice, but its in a really weird location. You basically have to go behind a couple of vacant buildings to find it, which is kind of scary, but the hotel and location are worth it. Its right off the expressway and only an exit away from the best outlet mall I have ever been to. A real surprise was downtown Aurora. There is a Casino, which actually pays out, phenomenal Irish Pub/Restaurant , and a scenic river walkway. Highly recommend checking it out!

“Good deal for the price”

Nice clean place. Looked fairly new or recently remodeled. Very friendly at check-in - checked in a little early and that was no problem. Free continental breakfast was good. The only bad thing I could say is that it is next to a big empty for-sale building (former armory/meeting center I think) , an out-of-business hotel, and an unemployment office. So the surrounding area isn't very nice, but the hotel is fine and it's in a convenient location. No problems.
