“Modern Chic in Rosemont”
Stayed at this hotel for a business conference. Location is close, but surrounding neighborhood non existent. Hotel offers shuttle to L train--nice and to convention center. Bar opens up at night with hipsters and cool vibe downstairs. Good coffee in the am that is free! Nice express food area with decent snacks--yogurt, fruit, muffins, protein bars. Breakfast sammies the best. Eat dinner in the city or go hungry. Room was cool but TV not working. Had lame service tech that really seemed to not know how to fix it....grrrr. Pillows crappy, and don't open the shades for a view because there is none!! Otherwise, a quiet, classy alternative to the rowdy other hotels.
“very happy”
excellent hotel
“Slightly dissapointed”
The pictures online are what sold us and the place really is beautiful. The outside area with the lounge is a lot smaller in person. There is only 1 microwave in the main lobby and 1 ice machine on the second floor so that's a negative. And you have to park in a garage that costs $13 or $20 if you want in and out privileges. There is a skywalk to get to it so don't forget something in the car because its about a 2 block walk to get there. We prepaid for the room but they still charged my card a flat incidental rate which never was discussed; I saw it on my statement. Overall we would stay there again.
“loved it!”
we needed a spot to land until our condo was ready, so we used the shuttle service from and then back to O'Hare. We were there around midnight, the only downside for us was the lack of resources for a light meal. They had a section with prepackaged sandwiches and salads, we ended up popping some popcorn. The next day, we went to the hilton for an amazing brunch. Otherwise, the rooms were wonderfully modern and comfortable and clean. The staff were very pleasant, the shuttle service was wonderful!! We would definitely come back to this facility.
“Not Impressed”
Air conditioning unit kept us awake all night - temperature in the room was hard to regulate. Did not like this hotel at all.
“This hotel has a very sleek look”
This hotel was awesome. I loved the look, and the recreations on site (pool, lounge and pool table). The room was very comfortable. I like the overall design of the hotel, it was sleek! The only thing to watch out for is they charge an additional $20.00 a day to park and if you are paying with a debt card they will hold a deposit of $50.00 a day for a total of $100 (just a FYI). The staff wasn’t rude but wasn’t overly friendly. I didn’t get a smile or no conversation when checking in or checking out. They seemed too busy to really give that extra good customer service. I am a very picky person and must say overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Loved it!
“Okay for layover”
Well, you can tell this chain was designed by a man. As a woman traveling alone, I did not find the nightclub atmosphere and the extremely long, dark hallways comforting, especially when I was arriving late at night and leaving early in the morning for my flight. The neighborhood was an apocalyptic, cement business park--with many. many hotels, none of which you could walk to, because of the deserted, 4+ lane streets. It would have been nice if more design attention had been paid to the neighborhood and not just the insides of each individual hotel. That said, the staff was terrific. The bed was super comfortable. The Bliss shampoo, etc., was nice. And the room design was thoughtful. You can't really share Aloft rooms with business colleagues or mere friends, however, because only a smokey glass separates the shower and the bedroom. And I anticipate that all of the cheap lighting fixtures, etc., will look very shabby in 5-10 years. Overall, it was fine. Free shuttle to airport, leaves every half hour.
“Convenient for O'Hare”
Sheets hadn't been pressed, but they were clean. Hotel was noisy in the night - guests chatting in the corridors at 3 am, knocking doors, call out to their friends - not good when you have an early start! Bar was extremely expensive - quite a bit more than what we paid at a 4* hotel in Champaign! However, room was very clean, staff were friendly and the airport shuttle left exactly on time and very helpful driver. Free bottles of water in the room - nice touch!
“Best Combination of Modernism and Friendly Personable Staffs”
It certainly is not the typical "upscale" expensive hotel but this laid-back trendy hotel has atmosphere and staffs that will help you relax and feel welcomed. I decided to stay here during a weekend I had a seminar nearby...the seminar was at the Marriott but didn't wanna stay at another Marriott. I was looking for more trendy hotel and I'm glad I found this place. I got there early after my red-eye flight to just drop off some bags before I head over to the seminar. It was before 9am and they said a room is available for me to check in. I was like..."Wow, that's an EARLY check-in!" Earliest check-in ever for me at least. So I was able to get cleaned up and rest a little before I was gonna walk over to the Marriott, which was only 1 mile away or so. And then they offered me to drop me off there with their shuttle bus. "Wow, I certainly didn't expect that!" And they picked me up afterwards too, which they did for couple other nearby places I had to go to. And when they say they are coming to pick u up, they do come and they come pretty fast. The whole staffs were really friendly. For those reasons, I'm giving it a 5 stars~!
“would come back to this hotel”
i was very happy with my stay. it was clean and they even had a shuttle to the L. parking was cheap and easy to get back to the hotel after parking.
