"Really enjoyed my stay here!"
Stayed at this quite decent Days Inn Chicago for two nights quite recently, and it clearly didn't disappoint. Free USA Todays were offered at the front desk, the guys at the front desk were very friendly, professional and accomodating. They would also hold/store your luggage for you at your request, so feel free to take advantage of it if you can (you can either ask a bellman or an attendant at the front desk).
-Amenities/Facilities: The usual stuff; inside the room (tv w/ multiple channels, functioning heating/ac, safe, closet, a coffee machine, bathroom amenities including earmuffs which you might need when you don't want to be bothered by the noises from the heater and sometimes from outside), outside the room (free coffee machine in the afternoon, coin laundry and drier, free check-in and ticket-printing service for your flight, vending machine, and microwave all on the ground floor right next to the front desk.
-Area: From the O'hare about 20-30 minute blue train ride to Logan Square and another 20-30 minute ride on the bus, so okay accesibility. Also takes about 20-30 minutes to downtown by bus. What's awesome about this neighborhood is that it is somewhat near residential area, so it's relatively safe, and there are multiple shopping options available, e.g., Trader Joe's (right across from the hotel, I am not lying!!), Urban Outfitters, Express, 24/7 Walgreens, Walmart Neighborhood Store, TJ Maxx. Food/drinks options are also plenty.
