“Very noisy room”
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We wanted a clean and comfortable place to stay before catching our flight the next morning from Narita Airport. At first glance our room at Narita Port Hotel seemed to fit the bill -- the room was a reasonable size and seemed comfortable -- but within a few minutes we were quickly disappointed when we realised that it was also VERY noisy. The room we were in was right by the lift shaft, so we could continuously hear the lift going up and down. This was frankly unacceptable in my opinion -- what kind of modern hotel is built with this kind of flaw? When we complained to staff on reception, they were very unresponsive and wouldn't allow us to change our room. Other problems included dirty marks all over the walls of our room, a very long queue to check in (there weren't enough staff) and the fact that you had to pay extra to use the internet (not what you expect in a modern, Western-style hotel). Narita Port Hotel provides a shuttle bus to the airport. It's supposed to take about ten minutes’ drive each way (it did on the way to the airport, but from the airport to the hotel took about 30 minutes). The shuttle also goes to Narita town I think. Breakfast was actually pretty good and offered a good selection, including cereal, yoghurt, tinned fruit, pastries and juices/tea/coffee, plus Japanese items such as rice, vegetables, miso soup, fish etc.
“A dying hotel”
An hotel waiting to die. Should be closed shortly.
