“Great location close to the airport”
Rather than staying at an airport hotel I strongly recommend Narita village, which is only one stop away from the airport. The hotel is just right - not too fancy, but clean and comfortable, which nice views of the surrounding hills. And just a short walk away you can visit the beautiful "Narita-San" an important Buddhist temple. Don't miss the massive gardens around the temple (allow a couple of hours to see all of it, including the landscaped lake and the main pagoda on top of the hill).
“Convenient, if not exciting...”
I stayed here in Narita due to not making timely hotel reservations in Tokyo for the weekend. Located in the town of Narita proper, adjacent to the Keisei Narita railway station and a few blocks from the JR station. Hotel was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. Staff was usual polite Japanese - English spoken, but also very patient if you want to try out your Japanese on them. First floor bar has reasonably priced (for Japan) drink and light snacks. Lack of vending machines for late night snack/drink a bit of a drawback. Convenient for airport travelers who want to stay nearby. If I HAD to stay in Narita again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“Decent value in Narita”
The Mercure is a good value in the Narita area. It's proximity to the JR train stations is very convenient. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past two years. The room was clean, but the carpet had many stains on it. The bathroom was clean, but looked old and somewhat dingy. The room size is reasonably large for a Japanese hotel.
“Decent Hotel”
This was a decent hotel.
“Confortable position if you have to fly from Narita”
It only 100m or so from 2 stations (LJ line and Kesei line) leading to Narita. The trip to terminal 1 is only 10 minutes. Optimal solution if you must spend the night in Tokyo and fly early in the morning. From the centre is 1h by train, with Kesei line.
“Great for transit”
Very nice for the price and situated in Narita which is a pretty switch from the airport. Only complaint, and not really the hotels fault is that the shuttle stops around 9:30 and due to a three hour late arrival we had to pay for a taxi, which cost almost as much as the hotel. There should be a way for the hotel to have helped but when we called they were going to charge as much as a taxi plus we would have had to wait.
“Nice nice”
stayed one night at this hotel. personnel was very friendly and helpful. room was small and comfortable. only issue is i had to cross some building divider on the 3rd floor to get to my room on the 5th floor. otherwise, very cozy.
“Narita Overnight”
One overnight stop at Narita, Tokyo.I chose the hotel because it indicated that it was in the town of Narita. I figured this would be a little better than the typical airport hotel. I was not wrong. It was right in the middle of Narita town. There were many local restaurants /bars within a few minutes walk. About 15mins walk was a very nice Buddhist Shrine temple. The hotel was clean and efficient. For sure it would be where I stay when in the area.
“Great location”
in the heart of Narita within easy walking to many restaurants and virtually next door to the rail to Tokyo. 15 min by bus to excellent shopping centres.
“Mercure if out of this world!”
My family enjoyed our stay at Mercure because of the proximity to the Keisei train Station. At this station you can catch the train to Tokyo DIsneyland and DisneySea about 70 minutes away. That station also has the bus stop for the Aeon Mall which has the Jusco Grocery store. These places are awesome. The hotel is walking distance to the Narita Temple which was very culturally cool! Enjoy every body. To be sure the Mercure hotel is no frills but nice and clean.
