"A week pleasant stay"
We stayed at Okura for a week while in Tokyo. The facility is aging, but they maintain it very well. The staff is very professional and attentive. We enjoyed our stay. It is a little sad to know that their main building will be torn down soon. I hope they will keep the tranquil Japanese atmosphere in their new lobby.

"Spectacular Accomodations in Chiyoda"
My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon. I booked a night at the Palace Hotel Tokyo as the final evening of our journey and could hardly have asked for a better stay. Our room was lovely, with a spectacular view of the Imperial Palace East Garden and the service was top-notch. Palace grounds are a two minute walk away, and the location is otherwise excellent--underground direct access to Otemachi Station (a great hub for Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines) and a 10 minute walk or train ride from Toyko Station. While we did not make use of the restaurant, bar, or spa, the facilities all came across as first-rate. My only complaint is that the bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but this is a minor quibble and the linens, pillows, etc were otherwise impeccable. Great luxury alternative to the Mandarin or Saint Regis for half the price. Highly recommended!

"Great staff!"
Our family stayed for 3 nights in two rooms - each with 2 twin beds. I booked very late (one week in advance) otherwise there are rooms that could have housed us all (2 kids ages 12 and 8 and 2 adults). Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful, and found two adjoining rooms for us. Kids allowed into the pool (though not allowed a bunch of horseplay), and also into the jacuzzi/sauna areas within the men's or women's locker room (but it's naked, so be prepared if you're Westerners like us!). Cons: Rooms were a bit tight even though we were on the Executive Level. I imagine they may be large by Japanese standards, but I chose Executive rooms for two reasons - slightly larger rooms and also free access to pool/fitness room and breakfasts in the mornings. Unfortunately, the breakfast and pool were NOT free for our children. We had to pay for them each time. Either I didn't understand that when booking or it's not very clear on Expedia/hotel's website. Breakfast was very good - 20th floor, great views, western and Japanese choices, hot and cold foods. Concierge was helpful and attentive, and they had an excellent map with nearby restaurant options. The vibe of the hotel is more suited towards business people, but my kids didn't feel out of place. The decor is also a bit opulent/frilly vs modern/clean lines, but it was nice (just not my style). Overall a good experience once I got over the fact that pool and breakfast were not free for the kids (they did get a reduced rate).

"Impeccable Service"
Yes, the rooms are small, as expected at any Japanese hotel, but super clean, comfortable, and equipped with a fridge! The front desk staff don't speak much English, but plenty enough to check us in, provide us with an area map, and recommend a place to eat. In addition to the five restaurants and bars in the hotel, there's a convenience store across the street, and a yummy bakery one block from the hotel straight out the front door toward the main road. When we walked downstairs with our empty beverage bottles, TWO bell hops approached us to take our trash to recycle. Once, I came to the desk with a question during a tour bus arrival -- a busy time to be sure -- and a staff member stopped his scurrying to notice me and answer my question! It's only a ten minute walk or 170yen 1-stop subway ride to the Chiyoda/Kitanomaru Park moat to see the cherry trees blooming right now.

"Good location when in Odaiba"
Good location when attending events at Tokyo Big Sight and easy access to Odaiba. Room is tiny which is to be of expected for a business type hotel but quite clean and comes with a humidifier and foot massager which was a surprise. 24h 2nd floor Lawson konbini is very convenient. One problem is the rooms are very hot even with the heat turned off.

"easy"
The hotel is right at the Shinbashi and Shiodome train station, which is nice. There is a sky walk that connects the train stations and also has some cute sculptures. This is only 10-15min away from Tsukiji fish market by walking so we checked out several times while we were there. The only downside is, that unless you do hotel breakfast (which I was not interested in), there aren't that many choices to eat breakfast nearby other than some small cafes.

"Everyone should experience this hotel at least 1x"
I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. It is by far the finest hotel experience I've ever had (and I've stayed in other luxury hotels elsewhere in the world). My praise extends to the room, which is packed with amenities both big and small that make you feel like a king/queen. As an example, the curtains that go up/down at a touch of a button (located at your bedside) that open onto your stunning view of Tokyo (awesome day and especially night). My praise also extends to the staff who are so attentive and friendly. Regardless of their designated title, they helped respond to my requests quickly and eagerly. They welcomed me when I came back to the hotel and wished me a good day as I departed. The staff truly cared about me and what I wanted. The Cantonese restaurant had tasty food (even the tea menu was amazing), and the staff were just as attentive and caring. This was truly an amazing experience. That's why I titled the review as everyone should experience this hotel at least once. Chances are, though, that you'll want to experience it many times after that.
