“Best hotel in Chiang Mai +++”
Great hotel...very clean...great staff...fantastic..
“Excellence”
The Hotel, Staff, Food, Drink, Elegance, and general friendliness at the Shangri-La were excellent. The only problem i had was the bed was to hard. But i would highly recomend this hotel.
“excellent”
Outstanding in every way...except 1 - we booked a Horizon club room to be able to use the Lounge for a little peacefull relaxation in the slot between getting back from the days activity and going for supper. Unfortunately some "guests" seemed unable to comply with the simple rule "children must be accompanied by a responsible adult" OR they did not qualify for the word "responsible" in the above. It became a playground with screaming kids running around ignoring their parents requests to be quiet. A shame.
“Fantastic Hotel in Chiang Mai”
The Shangri-La Chiang Mai is a beautiful hotel. The staff are all very friendly, and the service was prompt. There facilities are fantastic and include a gym, pool, tennis court and putting green. Lucky for us, the hotel was only 30% full and it felt very private during our stay, our own sanctuary in Chiang Mai. The location is also very good. The night market is just a short walk away, and all other locations are easy to reach. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and would definitely stay at the Shangri-La again.
“Nice hotel... Shang experience, as expected.”
Very nice hotel, bed is fabulous! gym has good equipment, food is superb and the pool is beautiful.
“This is not on the same level as the other hotels in the chain”
The Horizon lounge, has excellent staff. However that is as far as it goes, this hotel has no idea what 5 star means. The food in general in at best poor in quality and imagination. It is clear that the management are not in touch with reality. They would all be best served to go and work in another Shangri-la and get an eductaion how a 5 start hotel should be run.
“Overall great experience”
Hotel is about 10-15 minutes from the airport, and a 5 minute walk to the night market. Very friendly, helpful staff, reasonably priced. The hotel was quite empty when i visited (april 17,18), but lots to do within a reasonable walk. I would definitely consider staying here again.
“Chiang Mai best hotel”
We stayed at Shangri-La hotel in Chiang Mai for three nights. We booked the Horizon Deluxe Room and got the very best VIP treatment. The hotel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the Night Market which we visited almost every night. The staff are very friendly and wish we could stay longer.
“Great hotel in excellent Chiang Mai location”
The Shangri La hotel is a relatively new hotel, and is in a great location in Chiang Mai. It's a convenient ride in a tuk tuk to most parts of the "old city", and convenient to the airport as well. The night market is an easy walk from the hotel. It has a great pool and exercise facilities for either travellers or people on business.
“OK”
hotel facility & maintenance is OK, but I had difficulty to talk with front desk & reservation in English in order to ask additional room.
