“Relaxing hotel away from city noise”
I had a great stay at Lana Mantra. The staff was friendly, the morning breakfast was great, and the site is georgeous. I also recommend their sister hotel, located right inside Tae Pae Gate: The Vieng Mantra.
“Lanna Mantra is Fantastic!!!”
Staying at Lanna Mantra was fantastic!!! The staff, food and accomodations was more than we could have asked for. The unique location on the Ping River makes you feel a bit more secluded from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai, but in a very relaxing way. The hotel also offers a free boat shuttle in the morning into town and free taxi/bus shuttle at night so it is very easy to get to and from town from the hotel. I can't express enough how friendly all of the staff was! They were extremely responsive, friendly and always willing to help out. The food was great (loved the watermelon shakes and many vegetarian options) and very reasonably priced. I hope that I have the opportunity to visit there again. It was probably one of my favorite places to stay on our 3 week trip in Thailand. Lanna Mantra and Chiang Mai are AMAZING!
“Relaxing Hidden Gem”
I enjoyed my stay at Lanna Mantra as it was a very calm and relaxing hotel. The set out is very good and facilities are very good, rooms are large with a great balcony overlooking the lotus filled pond across to the reception and breakfast area. The pool area by the river was lovely. I dined at the restaurant twice, the meal was small but enjoyable. The bathroom was a little tired. My main concern was the amount of mosquitos especially since I wanted to leave the french doors open and enjoy the balcony but then I had mozzies buzzing around the room when I was trying to sleep.
“We are done.”
We have stayed four times previously (it was our favorite hotel in Chaing Mai) becaus of it's atmosphere. Our only complaint in our previous stays was of the quality of the breakfasts so we did not book our room with that option this trip. Unfortunately on this stay we found the reception very indifferent and not at all helpful. Upon our arriving In our room we found the floor dirty and with balls of hair and Used q-tips on the floor. Since this was the only room without cushions on the balcony chairs (very uncomfortable) we asked for either cushions or to switch the chairs with cushions from a un-occupied room. We were refused to be given any or change chairs! The next day after asking again we were given some cushions by another staff member. The grounds are not as well maintained as in the past. The hotel is starting to show wear and the lack of interest by the owner/ staff does not warrant the price. We will not be returning to the Lanna Mantra.
“Perfect get-away”
Friends recommended the Lanna Mantra to us and we have already passed the name to others. The hotel was lovely: quiet (on the river banks, out of the bustle of Chiang Mai); in beautiful gardens; and the staff were very friendly and helpful with phone calls, taxis and advice about local sights.
“Great place to stay”
This was a little gem of a hotel. It is some distance into the centre of town, but it was well worth having to get taxis if necessary. They have a shuttle service in the evening, and a boat shuttle service to the flower market in the morning. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the hotel is small enough to be run on a personal basis, rather than just be a number in a huge place. I stayed there 10 days, and if I go back to Chiang Mai, I would definitely stay there again. I was travelling on my own, and felt totally comfortable in this hotel.
“Eduardo Lopes - Vancouver - Canada”
This hotel is truely amazing... Very friendly staff, clean and peaceful!... I'd good back again! Just the bed is a bit hard but all hotels in Thailand is like that...
“Surprisingly wonderful”
Our stay at Lanna Mantra was more than pleasant. The hotel itself was well kept with lovely grounds and pool. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. The shower had great pressure. The staff was very accommodating and willing to arrange day trips and recommend activities in the area, including a wonderful day spent at Thai cooking school - Asia Scenic Cookery (wonderful). Although it seems far from "town," it really is no further away than most other hotels as Chiang Mai is very spread out. Generally we used the free shuttle to get to town and then took a taxi home which cost approx. 150 Baht. I would stay there again and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area. BTW, the breakfast was also quite nice
“Must to spend time in this hotel”

“very good venue, very happy with my stay”
excellent very kind and skilled staff
