“A wonderful stay”

We stayed here for four nights from 30 May to 3 June 2011 and loved every minute of it. The hotel is quite spectacular, very spacious and large, with a beautiful entrance and lobby area, and walkway to our room - west wing. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and provided excellent service. We had the breakfast buffet each morning and this was most enjoyable and set us up for the day. Plenty of fresh fruit, hot and cold selections, and a variety of local dishes, served in a spacious dining room. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone going to Chiang Mai. Although there is no room safe, a free safety deposit box is available at reception, and this worked well for us. In the evenings there is gentle traditional live music playing in the lobby area. The hotel is quite close to the central area of Chiang Mai and night market / bazaar which is one of the best we have been to. “for the money a good choice”

I was annoyed with paying for WiFi and the desk help were not very friendly or helpful. The location and price made up for that pretty much. It is older & somewhat dated but our room was fine with a view.

“THE BEST HOTEL IN CHIANG MAI”

We have now stayed twice in this hotel and over the last couple of years nothing has changed. The hotel itself is first class and the surrounding gardens and pool are really nice. It is always good to feel really at home in a hotel with clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the traveler who wants all at a good price.

“Great value”

Very good location close to downtown but away from the crazy traffic of Night Bazaar. The room was clean with a modern bathroom - great water pressure in the shower. A little bit lo-tech in terms of tv, internet but you're not coming to Chiang Mai to watch tv. Wi-fi cards can be purchased from the Front Desk to use in your room. The cards seemed a little steep: 200baht/hour. Beautiful lobby, front desk staff was helpful. I would recommend and stay there again. Very good value.

“Delightful hotel”

Although the hotel looks like a bit of a concrete block from the outside, there is no doubt that it is a touch of luxury on the inside. Staff are very attentive, the atmosphere is cool and laid-back, It reeks of qaulity. It is slightly off the centre of town but that makes it quieter in the street and it's only about 40 baht for a tuktuk to the heart of the action. You can walk to the night market in five minutes but you'd want transport to the Taipei Gate (spelling ?). Very good value.
