Allow me to state that the staff here were excellent and very very helpful. However, this is not somewhere where any westerner would want to stay. The neighborhood is terrible and the hotel itself is in rough shape. If you're transiting, stay at the Niranta hotel in the airport. If you have an extended stay in Mumbai, get a hotel in Navi Mumbai. I've travelled extensively throughout India and can handle most places, but I couldn't wait to leave.

This was my first trip to Inida, and I am so glad we stayed at the Oriental Aster Hotel! The food was delicious and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Kk took excellent care of us and made sure we knew where to go in Mumbai and for the rest of our trip in Goa. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome!

Bad service by receptionist
Service was not good they were asking to leaave the hotel early because they had taken another booking.. how can they take another booking if there is already a customer..really bad behavior by receiptionist..calling 5times in half n hour to leave the hotel

Near the Airport, the service is fine with nice people but especially the bathroom is really not good for the rate that we paid. Bedsheet and top sheet are pretty old. The breakfast is in an underground room without sunlight.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They helped me check in 2 hrs early and let me check out 2 hrs late as I was running late with my appointment. Definitely recommend it!

Nice basic hotel
Great hotel for transit as is very close to airport and they offer complimentary car service along with free wifi and breakfast which is the perfect package. Is clean and basic and met my needs. Staff pleasant and helpful. Will stay again in the future for transit needs. Has bright sign and is along a main road.

Great service.
Welcomed with a drink. Eggs toast and tea for breakfast ... not so unusual, but how many hotels will do that at 03:45am?! And a free shuttle to the airport at 04:00 to boot. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this hotel twice ( total of 5 nights) over the last month. It is a clean and safe place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Sanjit and KK. The breakfasts were simple but adequate, with a mix of Indian and western alternatives.

Except the room we did not like anything else about this hotel. Had endless problems with tvremote n was neva solved for the 3days we were there. Food quality was poor. And tasteless food. Very small quantities. Food was not value for money. Had to request for bottled water on 2nd day. Was not supplied in room. Front desk personnel did not greet guests in the morning or afternoon . Just stared at us with not even a smile. Breakfast place was dirty in the morning when we had breakfast. Lady at breakfast place had torn shoes n creased clothes. Does not create a vry gud impression on the hotel. When we ordered stuff on the menu on sunday we were told ingredients we not available. Then why even have it on the menu. That made it very difficultto choose because it was a very limited menu.. not acceptable from a hotel restaurant. And something that really got to.me was tat when i ordered chicken tawa masala i only got 3 pieces of chicken and the rest was onion and pepper. If that was what i wanted i would hav ordered tat but it was a very deceiving dish. Even my husband ordered mutton dish n he also only got 3 pieces of mutton and a whole lot of onion or cabbage. More veg than meat. Definitely not value for money . Will definitely not return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone

Overnight Stay in Mumbai
Overall my stay was good. The hotel forgot to send a driver to pick me up, so I had to take a taxi. The taxi driver didn't know where the hotel was, even with the address I gave him. We eventually found it after the driver tried to get me to stay at the places he knew. The check-in staff were nice and welcoming and someone brought my luggage up and showed the room. The shower was probably the only bad thing about the room. The drain did not drain properly, so the whole bathroom was flooded. I had dinner at the hotel, and the food was amazing! Breakfast was included and it was Indian style breakfast, which was again amazing! The hotel did have a driver the next morning to send me to the airport.

Fine for short term stay handy to airport
Hotel is handy to Mumbai airport.. about 15-20 mins of drive without traffic. Staff is nice and helpful. Food in the restaurant is 'ok'. However, hotel location is in a clumsy road and rooms are very small. Attached bath is absolutely tiny. Bed linen in my room had stains. So, if its for a very short term stay near the airport and all you want is a room for the night, yes.. you can think of this hotel.

Complimentary no fuzz airport pick up and drop. Exceptional bathroom cleanliness (although small). The shower water pressure was awesome! Air conditioning was top notch. Whoever is maintaining the A/C needs to be applauded. Great Indian complimentary breakfast buffet. Nothing to complain. Great staff and service. Well priced rooms. Wish them well!

Neighborhood a bit scary (but safe) and I was apprehensive upon arrival--- but the staff is outstanding, restaurant excellent and airport pickup/drop off just fine, so for the price, is well worth it. Close to int'l airport which made for easy connects. No hair dryer in room but the brought one up.

Most of it was fine. The Front Desk Staff was very cooperative & friendly. Although, the Rooms Service was quite a disappointment as the operator was very rude at times and did not respond properly. Moreover, the calls for placing the orders were disconnected on the face even before the order was completed. The things as small as Ice Cubes are charged as well, and also there is no consistency as one day I was told that the ice was priced at INR 50++ and the second day I was told the price of the same is INR 60++, & when I rechecked, the person on the Room Service Operator insisted that the prices are revised. Later on, they checked for the same again and came back with the pricing of INR 50++. Additionally, there are only 2 small bottles that are provided in the Room Amenities on the daily basis & if we ask for the additional ones, they directly refuse saying that you have already got 2 for the day and you cannot get more of the same.
