Nice hotel with in city centre

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Pros: Very welcoming and spacious
Cons: Lift could possibly do with being bigger.
Location: Situated within the city centre so shopping was easy and near to the museum and river.
This hotel was well situated within the city centre so all shops where within walking distance, as was the river to go and travel on.

A good time

Posted 06-Apr-2015
On arrival we were impressed with the general look of the building and entrance. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and we quickly got booked into our room. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with a view up one of the streets. The bed was super king size and comfortable. Hotel is in a very good location so you can get to all the shops and the night life. Also they have good cocktails and are 2 for 1 , 5 till 7. So a good stay and will probably book again.

Ideal location for central Chester

Posted 29-Jan-2015
Pros: Happy Hour
Cons: Rooms could have been cooler!
Location: City centre location, easy walking to shops, bars & restaurants.
New Blossoms was a great place to stay, very convenient for shopping, restaurants and bars. Happy Hour cocktails were a bonus. All the staff were helpful and polite. It was particularly nice to be given the low down on Chester in Welsh by the charming Kelly Ann. Always good to find your mother tongue while 'abroad' in England!

Nice hotel, great position right in middle of city

Posted 30-Dec-2014
Pros: Nice friendly staff and great position
Excellent hotel right in middle of a great vibrant city. Car parking a bit of pain some 500 yards away and difficult to get to because of one way system.Nonetheless well worth it.

Central

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Pros: Staff, food
Cons: Internal screens over the sash windows to drown out the noises from outside
Location: Central, lots of shops etc
Paid for an overnight stay for our special anniversary. Decided to treat ourselves by going 4 star. In all honesty cannot fault the staff and the hotel was lovely looking, but hardly slept due to being placed in a room above the Main Street, so spent all night listening to Christmas revellers till approx 4am. Really disappointed as paid a lot of money.

4* Hotel but 2* Food

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Pros: Well-presented, clean and welcoming. There were some nice touches in the room such as bottled water.
Cons: As above; the food in the restaurant. It purports to be a meat and fish restaurant - but a number of dishes that had unnecessary surcharges
Location: It was city centre and easy to find. Ideal for shoppers
I found the hotel welcoming , well-presented and my room was very comfortable. However, I was very disappointed with the food at the restaurant for both my evening meal and breakfast. I would recommend that visitors dine elsewhere, where food might be better cooked and presented. Visitors also need to be aware if their rooms are at the entrance side of the building, there are a number of late night bars on that street and were noisy and busy even though it was a Wednesday night stay

No sleep at Macdonald New Blossom Hotel, CHester

Posted 25-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in the main bar and club area in the city no sleep from 12am to 5am due to outside disturbances, Police cars, drunken behaviour outside our window. There should of been a warning about this hotel, it was obvious the staff are aware of these problems and I can now see from other reviews there have been other complaints. We expected some noise due to it being a city hotel but this was ridiculous. Good points Clean, good breakfast but make sure you get it included in your deal or becomes expensive.

Chester night out

Stay was good, nice hotel, staff and good location for visiting shops and bars. The drain in the bathroom smelt bad when the water ran
