Myself and my friend booked a 2 night stay with Expedia booking
via Expedia.
We booked a 4* as we expected a certain standard.
When we arrived, we were shocked at the sullenness of the receptionist, Nicky. No smile, no greeting and only answering questions we asked.
The room.
We went to our room and below is a list of the discrace that followed:
1. I had requested twin bed and when we separated them, below was so much dirt, wrappers and fluff it was apparent it had not been vacumed for months.
2. The 2 lamp shades had cobwebs completing covering them. Andy the manager came and verified this.
3. The dust behind the bedsides had mildrew growing on it. It had not been dusted for months.
4.The bathroom drain system was not working so within 2 minutes of taking a shower, the bathroom was flooded.
5. The fan in the bathroom did not work.
6. The mug on the tea tray was chipped and cracked.
7. Bedside phone disappeared whilst we were out the first day. When this came up in conversation with the manager, he said " that was me, the room next door needed a phone so I came into your room and took your phone. What a disgrace.
8. The corridors had debris and rubbish from the day we arrived to the day we left. No cleaning or vacuuming had taken place.
There is not enough space to give comprehensive details but would strongly advise against booking this hotel. It is not even a 1*
