“Entertained by Humingbirds”

The weather was permitting, so our first evening there we had dinner on their lovely covered porch, with a wonderful view of the mountains. The dinner was very good, and the visit with the chef & host was very enjoyable. They really made us feel special. The porch goes around the house and has rocking chairs and Hummingbird feeders, which are very busy with Hummingbirds. You can literally sit for hours and just relax and be entertained by nature. The room was nice and comfortable, but the porch was the highlight. There was plenty to do close by... Waynesville is a great town, the Blueridge Parkway, NC Aboretum. So stay there for the day or take off ...either works for a great get-away.

“Great Place to Stay”

We had a wonderful stay and our hosts were very kind and gracious. Both the lodge and our breakfast were fanatistic. We had our daughter and 7 year old grandson with us and they enjoyed their stay as well. Great place to stay if your in the Maggie Valley area. We used it as our staging ground to visit the Smokey Mountain Railroad and Santa's Land.

“Awesome Place to Stay!!”

This place is awesome!! My fiance' and I looking for a quiet place to stay on our way through to SC. Instead we were wishing we could just stay the night here for awhile. We ate dessert in the restaurant (amazing!) and then sat in the rocking chairs on the porch to watch the sunset. Later a campfire was lit and several of the guests got together to talk. It was fun to meet other people. This place has excellent views of the mountains, a mini orchard, and a wonderful porch to sit and relax. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean, and is a place we plan on visiting again in the future.

“Southern hospitality”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed and breakfast is not luxurious, but it is quaint and the owner's hospitality can't be beat! We enjoyed the Mother's Day buffet on Sunday. Excellent food on a open-air wrap around porch with views of the surrounding mountains. We've stayed there before and will again.

“Different room”

We had a pet friendly room. The carpet needed to replaced. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly. We would recommend renting the cottage! It is absolutely beautiful!

“What View?”

The photo of this lodge indicates that you are on a mountainside, on lots of property, with a grand view. Unfortunately the view is of a neighborhood and the grounds are minimal. We were unable to enjoy the breakfast (served only at 9am) and the rooms were modest at best. The Inn did accept dogs (wonderful). However, the rate far exceeded the value and the view!
