“Nice hotel”

Everything ok, but fitted carpet in room

“Badly run Bourges hotel”

The main reason that we booked this hotel was because of the stunning looking restaurant. However, when we arrived it was shut - not just for lunch and dinner, but also for breakfast. We discovered it would be closed for the next 3 days and there is no mention of this on the hotel website. The bar was closed by 9.45pm and the lift to our wing of the hotel was shut down by 10.00pm. Therefore, we had to use an unlit back staircase and corridor to access our bedroom on the 3rd floor. This route had clearly not been cleaned and the carpets were dirty. Perhaps that was why the route was so badly lit! When we complained, the reason given was staff shortages. Our room reeked of smoke, which had permeated into the fabric of the soft furnishings and the bed linen. It was very noisy at night because the hotel is on the main road. It was the most expensive hotel in our third tour of France and definately not good value for money. We have stayed at many fantastic hotels in France and we can therefore compare with confidence.

Pleasant and polite welcome. Very nice hotel with lovely bar area outside, which was very welcome as it was such a hot day when we arrived. We didn't dine in the restaurant but it looked very impressive - set in a converted ancient part of the building. Ten minutes walk into Bourges. Private parking. All good.

“How quaint”

Rooms were absolutely gorgeous and immaculate. Color scheme throughout the hotel was relaxing and luxurious. Reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

“Exceptional Service”

Level of service was high and friendliness and professionalism were notable and consistent from reception to restaurant to every hotel employee that passed you in the lobby or corridor. Would stay here again withour hesitation.

“Magnificent dining room”

Good hotel (with Expedia discount) but it's the restaurant that sets it apart. A uniquely beautiful dining setting (the hotel is an old abbey) with expensive but seriously good food and service.

un peu excentré. Pour les jours de pluie il n'y a pas suffisamment de choix de chaines de télé.

magnifique ancienne abbaye, bien placé en face d'un parc, chambre un peu viellotte mais de bonne qualité! restaurant hors de prix menu à 62e!

“Cet hôtel vaut le détour”

Nous n'avons malheureusement séjourné qu'une nuit dans cet hôtel, mais nous avons pu apprécier le professionnalisme de toute l'équipe. L'accueil était très cordial. La chambre confortable, très propre et au calme. Le personnel de service s'est montré disponible. Le petit-déjeuner est servi dans un cadre magnifique. Beaucoup de choix pour le buffet petit-déjeuner. En bref cet hôtel vaut qu'on s'y arrête plus longuement. Nous regrettons de n'avoir pas eu l'opportunité de prendre notre diner dans le restaurant de l'hôtel, mais nous songeons sérieusement à l'organiser lors de notre prochain séjour à Bourges.
