We really enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint would be that there were minimal restaurants close by.

One of our best stays ever. Mgr Florien picked us up when we could not find the house. Carried our bags upstairs. We got an upgrade to the best room. It was sensational! Booked & recommended a restaurant in Carassonne. An incredible breakfast (11 diff French cheeses!). Incredibly helpful with local knowledge. A chateau size property; lawns, pool. A beautfilly restored chapel. We HAVE to come back. Six stars!!

Very nice stay and excellent value for money. A bit out of town but quiet and good parking. Upon arrival the receptionist was somewhat offhand and ignored me however next morning the breakfast service was superb and friendly. Would stay again.

Great property & host
Amazing proprietor who really enjoyed talking to our children which made a lovely change. The chateau is next to a large lake and only a 10 minutes drive to the centre of Bourges.

Great little Chateau..!
Great little Chateau near centre of Bourges, and close to motorway. Good quality and slightly quirky room on top floor. A good stay..!

Room acceptable. Breakfast very good
Reception on arrival very good. Bedroom and bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. Kitchenette lacking in crockery and cutlery. Had to ask for a kettle, bowls and spoons so we could have some soup. Breakfast was very nice and the service at breakfast was very good

Great place to stay en route to the south of France! And a great base to then explore the centre of Bourges only a short drive away. No air conditioning however which was a challenge given the very hot night we were there!

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The accomodation was lovely and the rooms a good size. Was able to enjoy a lovely picnic in the gardens under the cooling shade of the large trees. Lovely place to stay whilst visiting Bourges

I would choose this hotel again
Great choice for a stopover en route to catch ferry at the end of our holiday. Staff were incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of parking and spacious room with a waterside view. Exactly what we needed at the end of long day of driving. Breakfast in the morning was very good. I would choose Château de Lazenay again.

Good place for a quiet stay.
Beautiful quiet locarion just a short drive into the centre of Bourges. Staff were very helpfull and polite. Breakfast could be improved by offering an English breakfast option or even some fresh fruit. Will be going back to spend a few days in a charming town.

Nice Hotel, Pretty view
Hotel is on a man made lake 10-15 mins driving from the city center. We had a room in the attic which was decently sized but there is a significant roof slant. The bathroom is pretty spacious but the shower is a small closet. WiFi worked pretty well. We never used the kitchenette but there were pots/pans and byo utensils etc. An employee did offer us the use of glasses for our wine. Breakfast was a very simple offering of croissants, cereal, yogurt, and assorted drink options. There was plenty of parking. There are some nice trails for walking/running/biking around the lake.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Don’t hesitate to ask for anything. The receptionist heard me talking about teabags and straight away asked if we needed a kettle for the room.

beautiful, peaceful retreat
This was the perfect place to be on Bastille Day. The fireworks were right on the water near the hotel! The room was nice and they brought an extra bed for my daughter. Since the stairs were steep, we only brought up what we needed. The hostess was so sweet and always making sure we were happy. Loved this little gem.

Beautiful grounds. Comfortable clean room. No tea or coffee in the room! The shower handle height adjuster broken. The hand basin drain plug release broken. Asked the receptionist for extra pillows, although she made an attempt l but came back with "sorry no pillows!"

A great hotel, with real character.
We were delighted with our choice of hotel for a stopover on our way to the South of France. This converted chateaux has real character. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We have two dogs, and originally chose the hotel because they allow dogs (for an extra € 5 pdpn). There is a huge lake with walks around immediately adjacent to the hotel – ideal for dog-walking. We cooked for ourselves in the evening – the room has a microwave and hobs, and we were provided with crockery and cutlery (and a corkscrew!) by the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable, with large, tall windows opening onto the lawn and lake – a great view. Bathroom was large and plenty of hot water! Close to the motorway, this hotel offers tremendous value for money – and is so much better than the budget hotel-chain alternatives. What’s not to like? Thoroughly recommended!

Only a one night stay. No elevator - needs to be mentioned more prominently and specify which room type to book for a low floor. Helpful when arriving late unexpectedly.

Lakeside chateau
The gentleman who welcomed us at the reception was very helpful and pleasant. Had a good sense of humour. Chateau is in a lovely setting, it is a wee bit out of town but there is a bar/brassiere 15mins walk away. Kitchenette is very basic and there are no utensils but there were saucepans and a microwave. There was no lift and we were on the second floor but it was good exercise for us.

Great place to stay in Bourge!~
Very cute hotel at a reasonable price. Large room and bathroom, with small cooking area. If you are not able to climb stairs, this is not for you. no elevator. The hotel staff was suburb. Mary- Lene was awesome! We asked for suggestions to some shops and she was spot on with her recommendations. She even let us know about the out door market and gave us directions and was attentive to our every need. Hotel is 10 minutes outside of town, with a car, easy to reach. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and would stay here again.
