Getting to Llanelli After Your Flight

Rhoose Cardiff International Airport is the closest rail station to Cardiff Airport, and a regular shuttle bus service runs between the airport terminal and the station, with the journey taking about 10 minutes. The journey from Rhoose to Llanelli station takes approximately two hours.

To get from the airport to Llanelli by bus or coach, you are best advised to take the hourly bus from the airport to Cardiff Central bus station. From there you can take a coach to Swansea, the journey taking about an hour. From Swansea you can catch a local bus or coach to Llanelli, which takes about 30 minutes.

It takes a little over an hour to drive from Cardiff Airport to Llanelli. The M4 motorway is only about 10 miles from the airport, and can be reached by travelling along the A4226 and A48. Leave the motorway at junction 48 and take the A4138 to Llanelli. If you pre-arrange your car hire with Expedia you can save yourself a lot of time and effort and be in Llanelli very shortly after your flight touches down, and once there you will be able to travel around the stunning Carmarthenshire countryside with ease.
