A wonderful oasis of peace and luxury in the vibrant city of Dhaka. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. I arranged transport through the hotel (for airport transfers and for local business trips) which was extremely useful and provided a safe and modern car with an excellent driver. Rooms and amenities are top class with a pleasant range of restaurants and the superb "Cigar Bar" for a relaxing end to the day. Throroughly recommended for tourists or for business travellers. Pleasant garden at the back with a lovely pool and cafe in secure premises. Dhaka is not the easiest of cities to navigate or visit, but the Radisson Blu is certainly a welcome establishment in the hustle and bustle of life in the capital.

Don't let the decent photography fool you, this is not a comfortable business hotel in a nice part of town. It is down an alley, surrounded by crumbling buildings, and the staff are very poorly trained. In fact, I feel one of the few positive points of this hotel is its relative proximity to the airport. The staff lost a package of mine, and denied it was ever received. When trying to contact hotel staff by phone, I called every number in their directory multiple times without getting an answer. To me, the absolute the nail in the coffin was when I booked a car to take me to the airport, and they did not make arrangements and yet hesitated to tell me this. When my car eventually arrived some 20 minutes late, it was a dilapidated rust bucket that was covered in vinyl seat protectors, and that smelled like a foot. To make matters worse, they made me share the ride with another person and the commercial goods he intended to peddle, and yet the car still would not leave until I made a complaint to the management. It was a miracle I even made my flight. To make a long story short, this was quite easily the worst stay I have ever had while traveling professionally.
It was probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Amazing selection with great service. Location was ideal as it was adjacent to a shopping center and in the middle of a happening place in Dhaka. Gym and swimming pool was great as well with amazing views of the city. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.
