Stay away from this property. The room was dirty. There were plugs that did not work. There were homeless people milling about the parking lot. I did not feel safe in this place and I was not sure that my car would be there in the morning.

Microtel Chattanooga
Check in was quick and the receptionist friendly. Older microtel hotel and age is starting to show in the rooms. Walls and floors are thin. People in the room above me stomping around until 3 AM. Located behind much better hotels. Signs posted that they are not responsible for your vehicle or items left in your vehicle so they must have a lot of problems there. Numerous people just hanging in the parking lot; smoking and drinking. All they had for breakfast was cold cereal, pancakes and apples. Drove to the nearby Waffle House for breakfast. Would choose a different hotel if staying in that area again.

The stay that never got any better!!!!
The first room we checked into didn’t have toilet paper and the door was dragging the floor. It had been this way for some time. The next room we checked into, one of the bed lights didn’t work. I told them about the problem and all they said was they would get maintenance to look at it. They never fixed it. The shower curtain rod was barely hanging on. There was a large damp area in front of the air conditioning unit. The remote was sticky. The ice machine on the third floor didn’t work. Was told by another guest that it had been broken for a while. The third floor recked of cigarette smoke. I asked for extra pillows, was told that they didn’t have any more pillows. Noticed a large hole in the ceiling in the hallway on the third floor. Needless to say, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Will never stay at this hotel ever again!!! It gives the name a bad image!!!

The hotel was filthy and the room was dark with light bulbs burned out. There was mold in the bathroom and addicts walking around in the hall. I was scared being there and left immediately. Paid triple price on Home2 by Hilton but my family and I felt safe and comfortable in a clean environment. Do not waste your money booking this place!!!

The motel was dirty.. The carpet, the elevator floor, and the carpet in the room.. not one thing looked clean including the breakfast room. I was extremely disappointed… and let me say this; a hotel or motel can be an old facility, but there is no excuse for being dirty… none!

Beds were comfortable, but daughter saw a cockroach in the bathroom when we first got there. Hallways smelled of weed. Staff arguing on night shift. Was threatened by another guest while there. Manager was very nice though. Phone in room had it's cord cut so it did not work.

An absolutely terrible stay. We were originally meant to have 2 rooms but, after one of them smelled like smoke, were forced to cram into one. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge issue. But in this case the state of the hotel and the room itself made the experience very unpleasant. Everything was dirty, with part of the floor in the hallway having what looked like blood spatter on it while another had what looked like congealed puke. The room itself wasn’t much better. Everything was just in an unfortunate state of disrepair: holes and chips in the wall paint, broken light fixtures, a faucet that dripped without end, etc. The room was also quite dirty. At one point I was forced to look under the bed to pick something up, only to discover that nobody had vacuumed there in what looked like years. I dare not think about what else there was that I couldn’t see. Staff was also unhelpful. After being packed into one room we found that we didn’t have enough towels for everyone to be able to shower. Upon asking the front desk for some extras we were told that the towels were “in the wash” and that some would be delivered up to our room when they were washed and dried. Despite asking about the towels at least two more times that evening with multiple hours in between attempts no towels were ever received. What we did get was an increasingly annoyed and unprofessional attitude from the person at the front desk. Take my advice, if you have a booking here, run.

The room I stayed in smelled AWFUL. It was non-smoking but smelled like someone had smoked in it and then they tried to cover it up. There was nasty stains all over the carpet and furniture and I'm pretty sure there was prostitution going on in the back alley of the hotel. The only good part was the front desk people were very nice.

The mirror had inappropriate things written on it, there were no towels and when asked for towels we were told first they were just finishing up laundry then called 2 hours later again for towels and were then told they have none to give us… so no shower for us… then every time we came in and out there were a bunch of people hanging out in the lobby nodding out… it was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had! I will never stay there again and I suggest others don’t either!!!

My mistake was I booked non-refundable. It was just a stop to rest on our way back home after vacation and the pictures do not show how poor is the condition of this place. The hotel needs serious improvement. We had to ask for another room since the one they gave us smelled strongly of cigarettes although it was supposed to be non-smoking, had the smoke alarm missing, the floorboard detached from the wall, and a metal bar sticking out from the bed that I hit as I walked around to show the front desk lady the condition of the place, etc. The saving grace the lady was very polite and promptly moved us to another room. The second room was decent looking minus the desperate improvements generally needed and it had a great hot shower.

Got to check out at 2:30 in the morning because people kept knocking on our door and the whole hallway was filled with cigarette smoke and the smell of piss in the elevator on the way out the door. Had to pay additional money to check into a hotel across the street at 2:30 in the morning

DO NOT STAY!
management was great. room wasn’t very clean. we arrived and someone came banging on the door around midnight. the next morning someone tried breaking into our room. if the top lock wouldn’t have been pushed over they would’ve got in. we double checked the dead bolt twice before going to bed and it was locked so the deadbolt was popped open. i DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. it is a health hazard.

There were piles of trash in the stairwell. It didn’t look like the carpet had ever been cleaned or vacuumed, just crumbs and bits of garbage all over the hall and the room. Seemed like a party was going on. Do not recommend.

Hotel from Hell
When we first entered the lobby my nose was assaulted by this unpleasant smell, that's when I knew that we had made a terrible mistake booking there. The smell followed us to our room. When we entered the room my first thought was how could this hotel operate under these conditions. The carpet was horrible and the flies were abundant. The bed was sunken in and the sheets were filthy. And to make matters worst, the people next door decided to hold midnight gatherings in the hall singing there favorite tunes. I called the front desk knowing that their was nothing they could do. It was pure torture for the both of us because we had driven all night. The next morning my wife wanted to take a shower but the control knob dropped into the tub when she tried to turn on the shower, so she had to settle for a cloth bath. We had decided to find another hotel but they were all filled due to the holiday, so we reluctantly stayed and prayed for the time to past.

Left within first 30 minutes. Was offered drugs and the whole floor smelled of marijuana. Dirty sheets and trash bags all through the hallway. No toilet paper in room. Stains on walls. The pictures online were not even close to the actual rooms, or the continetal breakfast. Both were horrible. There was leak under the bathroom sink so we had to exchange our towels at check-in, the floor was caving in to the point the toilet was leaning. RM #350.

I can’t get ahold of anyone at hotels.com to get a refund. The Microtel sold our room out from under us an hour before we arrived. Also, every single person that was staying there looked like a meth addict. The Crystal Palace from Breaking Bad? It’s the Microtel in Hamilton Place. We were stuck at midnight trying to find another hotel. We had driven six hours. I’ll never stay at another Wyndham owned hotel ever again.

My room had a non working air system and tv. After approaching the receptionist, they moved me into a new room. I have stayed twice this year. So far I have required 5 rooms instead of 2. However, the front desk has been very polite and understanding. My receptionist was named Jade and in training…..She was extremely helpful and apologetic.

Not a place for school age groups.
I knew it was a budget location, but we were baffled at how sketchy this location was. Please read all of the reviews before you choose to stay here. There is a lot of foot traffic in and out of the location. We ultimately left and chose to find a new location. We did not feel like it was a safe situation for our school age students.

Terrible isn't a strong enough word
Dont waste your money. It was the worst place I have ever stayed. The ac/heat didn't work. The tv didn't work. The room was right beside 2 smoking rooms and i wanted nonsmoking because i can't stand the smoke smell. I smelled smoke constantly no matter what i did to cover it up. The stains on the floor and the lounge were discusting. Holes in the walls were badly fixed and just horrible. Bathtub was soiled and the smoking neighbors kept me up all night arguing. I think they actually lived in the hotel. I think it should be shut down honestly. Our room was 259.

It’s okay for only one night.
I mean, you get what you pay for. Wasn’t awful but wasn’t great. Lots of foot traffic up and down the halls at night and a good bit of noise. Beds were hard and cigarette burns all on the window cushion. But the beds and towels were clean. Front desk was nice and helpful.

Have stayed at this hotel previous times and have never had a bad experience until this past weekend. First room we received was not cleaned, there was fecal smears in the toilet. Requested another room but should have just checked out and found another hotel. There were so many sketchy people hanging out in the lobby and smoking by the front doors. the whole front cover and pull handle. This room was cleaner than the first but really not by much. Ran out of toilet paper and asked for toliet paper and additional towels. I was told that they were booked up and that housekeeping was just starting to clean rooms and do laundry. Went out for the day and came back no housecleaning was done to put room. Went to the front desk to ask again for toilet paper and towels. I was told that a single gets two towels and the front desk handed ONE additional towel, I booked this room w/ 2 person stay and said they didn't have toilet paper and would have it brought to me. I waited 30 minutes and still didn't have the requested. I had had enough I booked another hotel in downtown and checked out of Microtel. I should have booked the other hotel in the first place. I will never stay at this Microtel again.
