“ehh. it was ok for Chattanooga”

Single traveler for business, requested King bed, got 2 doubles instead. The air condition was weak as well. But overall it was ok.

“Chattanooga Mariott”

the hotel is adjacent to the convention center and allows easy movement without going out in the weather. The hotel is well - appointed and clean; however, it just has some age on it. Nothing was awful, just a little used. I could see an outdoor pool area from my room, and it was in disarray. Did not see any restaurants close to the hotel, so was confined to eating hotel food!

The Marriott in downtown Chattenooga was a delight. The beds were so comfortable! We are already planning our next trip there. Thank you Expedia for finding us the perfect place!

“We won't return to this hotel”

My wife and I love Chattanooga and visit often. After the treatment we received at this hotel, we won't choose it again. There are many of other fine places to choose in the same area.

Area recommendations

The waterfront is wonderful, with the Aquarium, artwork and many wonderful shops and restaurants. It is also very easy towalkacross one of the bridges to explore the north side of the river. The trolley system makes it easy to explore the entire downtown area.

“I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL”

It was my anniversary and it was TERRIBLE. First of all the walls are paper thin. Your can hear the conversation in the next room. The bathroom door almost hits the commode-that is how SMALL the bathroom is. But most of all the King size bed was TERRIBLE!!!! It was lumpy with a big ravine in the middle-so we kept rolling to the middle. We actually had to put pillows in the middle of the bed so we would not roll into each other. The staff was friendly enough to get by. When I complained about the bed and the noise the next morning the person at the front desk offered to comp my parking fee!!! Please!!!! We could not get a room service menu and had to call twice to ask for one. They finally shoved-yes shoved it under the door about 10pm and the restaurant closes at 11pm. Also, if you're getting the room with breakfast included-DONT-The buffet is 2nd rate and lukewarm. We wish we would have stayed at home-at least we could have slept.

“Pretty good!”

Pretty nice overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, but I was a little disappointed with the pool. It was pretty small and could use a bit of maintenance. I would stay here again.

“Nice stay but a few problems...”

The hotel stay was great, clean room, courteous attentative staff. We ran into one snag. The hotel had a scheduled water outage during half of our stay and failed to notify us until the night before the outage. If they had disclosed this information prior to my booking or even a day ahead, I would have moved my accomidations else where. They offered a fruit basket as an accomidation to alleviate our inconvenience; not enough, I expect a hot shower in the morning. The pool and hot tub water was a very odd shade of yellow/orange. It looked so gross we decided not to get in at all. The room was great; super comfy bed. The room was very clean, smelled good and appeared to be recently refurbished. The location is walking distance to the Tenn Aquarium for adults but I would take the shuttle if I had kids with me as it is a bit far for youngsters. One more thing, the light by the bed was out during our entire stay. I asked twice to have it fixed. Both times they said they would fix it but did not.

Area recommendations

Chattanooga is the perfect location for a couples weekend away. There is a wealth of great restraunts and activities for outdoor lovers.

“Great Stay”

“Not impressed”

The beds were not very large. The expensive breakfast was second rate. We reserved the"stay for breakfast" deal, and they argued that our initial fees didn't cover breakfast. Housekeeping was very nice and helpful.

“Won;t go back”

On our 1st night the staff was rude and short answers to any questions we had. The lady in the gift shop was very rude. The hotel was under going maint. and no one told us. We did not know until we tried to order a pay per view movie and could not because of construction. I was disappointed. We stayed at this hotel New Years Eve 2008 and had great service. But, things have changed.
