“It's ok”
Done
“More than met my expectations”
The accommodations were above average, the employees were very friendly, & the complimentary breakfast was outstanding.
“Good budget hotel”
Its a budget hotel and its an old hotel, which showed in the fittings and stuff in the room. But everything worked and worked fine. The staff was good and courteous, the bed was nice, the cooler/heater worked well, the breakfast was good. But the shower was old and the flow was not smooth, the tap leaked a little, the ironing board had a stain, the carpert had many strains and in general the room didn't leave a great impression without anything major being wrong with it. So it made for a good budget stay and I have no complains, but I have seen better and sleeker hotel/rooms in this range.
“Price is good - location not so much!”
This hotel was overall what I expected for the price. The service was good, breakfast was surprisingly good, room was clean (except for a slightly dingy bathroom). However, the hotel is RIGHT next to main streets and the interstate. This make it accessible, but the noise is horrible! Also, the hotel only had one elevator in operation that guests shared with staff. Definitely not convenient. Overall, not the worst experience, but not the best either. Good for the money, just bring your earplugs.
“Very Satisfied”
I was very happy with the cleanliness of the room, how modern and nice the rooms looked. The location of the hotel was right off the interstate which was very convienent to find and get back to. The pool was very nice. The front desk people were very helpful when we had questions about the things around the area of town.
“Not Impressed”
La Quinta Inn was not as nice as one we had stayed in a few years ago in St Louis, MO. It was really hot and humid in Chattanooga and there was a chicken factory that was putting off a very bad odor in the neighborhood. The air conditioner in our room was not working and we transferred to another room and the air conditioner worked great in that room but only had one king size bed and we had ordered 2 queen size beds so we had to get a roll away bed for the room. Hallways and snack rooms and elevators were not air conditioned so was not very comfortable. Probably will not stay at another La Quinta Inn in the future. There was quite a bit of alcoholic beverages by visitors and I had children and could not take them to the pool.
“Be afraod”
I selected this hotel because of the good overall reviews. Unfortunately my personal experience was greatly lacking. The hotel is older and could use some paint but run down and dirty are two very different things in my book. When we arrived their was a used wet wash cloth hanging on the bathroom door. The hand towels looked dirty and the shower had black MOLD. After complaining room service came immediately and replaced the towels. The hotel offers free wi-fi, but too bad we couldn't get a signal. We had to go down stairs to access the internet and we saw a couple of guys sitting out in the hallway on their laptops. The hotel is convenient to downtown but there is a GHETTO quite literally across the street. My suggestion is to cough up a little extra money and go else where.
“Breakfast was good!”
There was no comfortable seating in the room (only computer chair)- my husband has back problems and a sofa would have been nice and the room would have accommodated a sofa easily because there was a bare area in the room - air conditioning unit was a little noisey. TV did not pick up certain stations - like CBS!
“Pleasantly Surprised in Chattanooga”
Nice big pool with a deep end for diving. Great hot breakfast buffet kept well stocked. Rooms are comfortable. All of the staff - desk clerks, buffet service, maids & maintenance man - everyone of them had a smile and honest "what can I do to make your stay better" attitudes and actions. There were some issues with my first room. I got in late and receptacle over the desk was loose and the AC didn't cool well enough (but then I like it to be 68F at night even on a 100 degree day!). When I reported it at 1AM and asked that it be fixed the next day, they offered to send maintenance immediately if I wanted. When my key cards failed the next day locking me out and I asked to be moved, a staff member showed up at my door 10 minutes later saying "These are the keys to your new room - both of them work although one does require you to pull on the handle a little and I've checked the AC and it is set to 70. Is there anything else I can do for you?". When I said I usually slept at 68 and couldn't move now because I was preparing for a presentation, without blinking she said "Don't worry - I'll take care of it". Within minutes she had reset the AC temp to 68 and was back with the keys and a confirmation that I could physically move that evening. My next room was fine. It may not be perfect, but they will do whatever it takes to make your stay a positive experience. I would definetly stay there again. There's not much within walking distance, but it is only 5 min, from downtown.
“Just got home, and ready to go back!”
My husband, 2 child, and myself just got back from Chattanooga. We had a blast! This hotel was great. So quiet, clean, and friendly! They had breakfast every morning, and alot have places just have some cheap dry food, but theirs was good. Hot, and many chose. I loved the banana nut muffins!!!! I really have nothing bad to say. We were very happy. We will be back for sure. By the way the pics that they show, is really what it looks like :) Alot of places can look one way in pics, and another when you get there. Not the case here!
