This hotel is in a great location. It has a pretty good restaurant. The staff were very helpful, and kind. We were going to stay for 3 nights and ended staying 5.
When we travel, we prefer to stay in quiet little villages over a noisy, crowed city. This is why we chose the hotel. It is a great location to visit all the chateaux.

This is right in the heart of Cher region and within walking distance of Chenonceau Chateau. 200 yards away it has secured parking, the staff are very helpful and a number speak quite good English. The food is excellent and I highly recommend the Terroir Menu. It is a small cosy hotel with lots of old character. Some of the bedroom ceilings slope as they are built into the roof.
It is very good value.
Location is excellent, easily found. Restaurant is excellent, was open Monday (unlike most others in France). Rooms comfortable, though a bit small, and bed was comfortable. Our room opened over the river, with wonderful view. We visited in the summer, and left window open overnight. The breakfast in the morning was underwhelming, but still very good.
We were pleased with staff, helpfulness, and ability to speak English when we stumbled (badly) with French.

Chateau des Arpentis looks just as good in real life as the photos on the site. Our room (deluxe) was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. Be aware that you pay extra for breakfast (this may depend on your package) but it's not expensive compared to other places we've stayed and offered a range of pastries, bread, cereals and fruit. There's no restaurant on site and you'll need to drive or arrange taxis if you want to eat out but we noticed several guests brought their own food to eat on the terrace. A supermarket is located very close to the Chateau. The swimming pool has an unusual route to access it but was lovely for relaxing at the end of a busy day. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
