“JES1”

Super 8 in Charlottesville is inexpensive, yet nice place to be away from home.

“cheap... nothing great but nothing bad”

It was exactly what I expected it to be. The reviews were really bad so I didn't expect much... but for a one night trip to Charlottesville to go wine tasting and out on the town it was more then enough. I traveled with a bunch of ladies to c-ville for the weekend and the hotel worked fine for us. Only a 10 dollar cab ride down town and only 15 mins away from a bunch of really nice wineries.

“This motel fit my budget.”

I only stayed one night so I took a chance on this motel which was the least expensive in the area. The first floor did have a smoky smell but once I got on the elevator I was fine. I had a non-smoking room which did not have any odor. The clerk at the front desk was helpful when I asked about area restaurants. Free breakfast was cereal, donuts, English muffins you could toast, plus usual liquids. They are set back from the highway but I could hear some car noises since my room was on that side, but it didn't disturb me at all. Their internet accessibility was excellent. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

“Good for a short stay”

We were generally satisfied with the hotel. The continental breakfast was a plus. Of course, price dictates the number of amenities.

“Can't beat the price”

The staff was efficient. My room was clean with no problems. Overall a good two night stay for a visit to UVA hospital. A good value for in and out type visit. I recommend it.

“I would stay there again”

Everything was fine except that the pillows were flatter than a fritter, the sheets and bedspreads were old and worn but soft. If the pillows had been better, it would have made all the difference but overall was fine for the price I paid. Hotel grounds, hallways and rooms were very clean. Employees very nice and helpful. Good experience and very good rate.

“The Hotel was fairly inexpensive so I wasnt expecting the Ritz”

The Room was clean. Service was alright. Walls were thin so we could hear anyone talking or passing by in the hallway. That would have been extremely annoying but we turned on the AC unit to help drown out the sound. The AC unit was a little Rattly but bearable. Overall stay was satisfactory.
