Would not stay here again.

The stopper in the sink was broken. There was a dead bug in the bath tub. There were cigarette burns on the comforter even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It's in a sketchy looking area. I've stayed in $40 a night road side places nicer than this.

Convenience & Comfortability

Posted 25-Jun-2015
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort, convenience, pricing, etc.
Cons: Parking availability.
Location: There are a good number of places to eat within a 5 mile radius.
For a motel, I was highly surprised at the comfort and cleanliness. I came for a concert at JPJ arena. Staff was very courteous. Great location with close proximity to UVA campus. Bedding was very clean! No hassle check-in/check-out. My only complaint is about Virginia road construction. It made it hard to come and go from the motel but this is of course not Red Roof Inn's fault!

Updating of rooms needs to be completed. Breakfast choices need to be expanded.

Had a problem with the room beside me having a party until 2:30am and I called the front office 3 times and nothing was done. Never going back.

Watch out

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Pros: not much. The bathroom was clean but the showerhead could not be changed and was set to pulse setting.
Cons: Replace the carpet and improve the quality of the sheets. Was afraid to try the breakfast.
Location: Way down at the end of the road and not really well marked although we ultimately found it.
The hotel is being "renovated" but I never expected no weather stripping around door which let in the hot air and made the door vibrate. The pillow cases were stained with brown fluid on both beds. After day one, there was a heavy odor of urine in the room -- it was gross. Showerhead did not adjust anymore.... On a number of occasions, people banged on our window and doors after midnight. Not for kids or women alone.

Cons: Front desk know how to replenish breakfast bar--guy couldn't find the syrup--waffle got cold while he located someone to refill syrup
Room was very comfortable. Close to UVA Medical Facilities.

Nice for the price

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Pros: Cleanliness, friendly staff, and price.
Cons: Internet connection and noise level from construction (not working on rooms next door to occupied rooms when possible).
Location: Convenient area next door to Whole Foods, Trader Jo's, Kroger, and a 10 minute car ride to many amazing restaurants and downtown.
We were worried after reading the reviews but decided to give it a shot. Let me start by saying my husband and I have done our fair share of traveling/backpacking in the US and elsewhere. We have stayed in everything from 4 star suites to side of the road roach motels. I voiced my concerns when we arrived and the gentlemen at the desk allowed us to view the room. We arrived at 2:30 pm on a Monday and the hotel quickly filled up as the afternoon went on. We stayed in room 245, the room was a King smoking room on the second floor and it did not reek of cigarettes but instead smelled fresh and clean. The decor was nice and had a great comfortable clean bed, a nice flat screen high def TV, microwave, and mini fridge. There was no mold or anything broken, the hot water and AC worked great and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. We at no time felt unsafe or that we didn't get our money's worth. The only complaints we had are that the internet connection was extremely slow and that there was construction going on in the hotel so there was some excessive noise on the day we were to check out starting around 9:30 am. Considering the previous poor reviews, I think the fact that they are doing renovations is a good sign for future guests. When you read reviews, always consider the source and gauge your own expectations and standards before making a decision. It was a pleasant, comfortable, and clean experience for us!

For the money, it was good.

GPS didn't find it, but I called and found that it was across from Best Buy. New construction I think, threw it off the GPS grid

Not too bad

Posted 04-Jun-2015
The first couple days I stayed there were creepy construction men everywhere. By the end of my stay they were gone and normal families and people began staying there. The hotel staff was super nice and very helpful. The area around the hotel was a bit ghetto for my comfort. The hotel rooms were pretty nice and the beds were soooo comfortable. If I went again I would definitely bring a guy with me so I didnt feel as unsafe as I did.
