Check in was very quick, room was nice, and very close to the hospital which was great!

It is far better to spend an extra $20 on this hotel then to go with the cheapest in town. The hotel on the "Corner", which has lots of great places to eat at and a few shops.

“Red Roof Inn Charlottesville”

The hotel provided a basic room. It was clean, comfortable, had free wireless and was in a great location next to UVA campus and walking distance to downtown.

“Van Halen Rocks!”

Stayed here the night of Van Halen concert. Very good experience and the staff were freindly. Reccomend if your favorite band is playing at John Paul Jones Arena.

We stayed for one night for uva fall game. The bathroom was better looking than the overall room. Location is the best, attached to the great Mellow Mushroom and right down the St from the heart of "The Corner". Would def stay again.

“Surprising Value in great location.”

I wasn't expecting much for the cheap rate. Compared to other hotels in the area this was a real bargain. But the room was really huge, on the order of 350 sq ft.. The king bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Wireless worked fine. There was a nice little desk where you could get some work done if you wanted. The location of this hotel is really good. It's less than a 5 minute walk from the UVA hospital, and dozens of restaurants at all price ranges and genres. A 15 minute walk gets you to the downtown mall area (and lots more restaurants) Parking there is a drag and costly. So free parking at the hotel is another bonus. Don't expect a lot of amenities here. The usual low end plastic cups, coffee pot, skimpy towels. No fancy soaps. There is a refrigerator though. If I were staying a few nights I might splurge on nicer accomodations. But this hotel is really a good deal.

Great price for the location. Parking's free, Staff's friendly, Room Clean. Very helpful in locating a lost personal item.
