“Great Location!”

My family and I recently stayed at the Omni for a weekend to attend an event at UVA. I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel is very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable but a bit small. I thought the rooms were pricey for what you got. It is in a great location to the university, just about a mile to the campus entrance and close to shops and restaurants. We ate at the hotel restaurant The Pointe and is was great. I don't usually like hotel restaurants but The Pointe was a nice surprise. The food was delicious, the service was great and a nice atmosphere.

“fab!”

Upon check in we were greeted with champagne and strawberries!!! Loved the location in Charlottesville, so convenient to the historic district/ downtown mall area. No Need to drive anywhere with the mall at your disposal. Great area restaurants, bars, and cool shops The hotel is beautiful...love the atrium - gorgeous. Employees super helpful and delightful. Room was clean and lovely.

Loved eating dinner at Fleurie and the C& O!!! The Cuban Cafe for breakfast was super too!!!

“Nice location”

Pros: Very clean and up to date. Location, location, location. Cons: Bathroom was tight. Pay for internet - seriously, come on. Internet should be included in the room charge. The parking garage didn't feel safe.

Dining

If you like sushi, Ten is fantastic. I recommend reservations and spicy maguro. Their miso is high test not the usual bland low octane. Start with seaweed salad, or edamame. Top off the appetizers with spicy calamari, which is to die for, soft and succulent. Just 1 minute walk in the mall. Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants on my list.

“Pretty Happy”

In general was happy with this hotel and its beautiful location. The indoor pool was too cold. Also, the pay-per-view movies were not digital (which I would expect them to be at $18). You cannot pause or rewind and the picture quality was grainy (almost like VHS). Aside from these 2 small complaints, everything was very nice!

“Beautiful hotel with a great location”

The Omni Charlottesville is beautifully decorated. The hotel staff is extremely professional and helpful. The room was well appointed and clean. However, the bathroom floor could have been cleaner. The rooms are not well insulated for sound. Sounds from the hall and running showers woke us up. The location is fantastic - steps away from the downtown mall with funky shops, great restaurants, and less than a mile from UVA I would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to friends.

“Omni Charlottesville Virginia”

This is a buisness hotel that is downtown that charges for you to park your car. There are several other comparable hotels between the airport and down town that are easier to get in and out of and there is no parking fee. The hotel itself is very nice and the hotel staff are extremely nice and helpfull.

“a great place to stay”

I attended a wedding & needed a place to stay for one night.....it was everything i had hoped for. I had a great view from my room, everything was clean & spotless & brand new! everyone was so friendly & helpful & very professional......complimentary starbucks coffee in the lobby in the morning.....the pool was awesome....only wish i had more time to stay because there was so much to do there & in the area--the gym looked really great too. the adjoining pedestrian mall was a huge plus as well- had a great lunch at hamilton's. can't wait to go back to charlottesville one day!

“One of the nicest places I've ever stayed.”

There was a power outage of several hours. Staff stayed calm and were helpful getting customers in and out of the hotel. They apologized and offered a free breakfast buffet the following morning when the power returned. A real class act.

Area recommendations

The mall area adjacent to the hotel was well worth exploring.
