“Great Price”

Hotel was a pleasure to stay at. Friendly staff and a comfortable bed, what more could I ask for. Very happy with the price.

The hotel was under renovation and that is the only reason for the lower rating regarding the condition of the hotel.

Decent hotel very close to I-64 and Downtown Charlottesville. Beds were very comfortable. Was not sure what to expect booking this on-line site unseen, but was pleasantly surprised when we checked in. Nice hotel for a stay of a night or two.

Close to the activities of Charlottesville, I enjoyed my stay. Yes, it is on the highway and a room on the backside could be noisey, but the hotel was very clean, had appropriate ammenities, was a GREAT deal for the price,close to some food venues and even a drug store and grocery store.

“Visiting for family weekend at UVA”

I went over the weekend to visit my sister in UVA and this hotel was perfect for it. It's about 7 minutes away from the grounds of UVA, the staff is extremely nice and helpful, they helped me get a cab and when I had problems with the bathroom light they prometely fixed it. It's conveniently located just off the highway and it's close to all the shopping and sightseeing in Charlottesville. It's obviously not a five star hotel, but I would gladly go back.

“Definitely met our needs”

The location of this hotel was perfect for a weekend in Charlottesville to see the city and tour a few wineries. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The bed linens were clean with the exception of a few odd stains on the cover blankets. Overall, a pleasant stay.

“Clean and comfortable”

Staff was friendly, room was clean, beds were comfortable. The location is great for visiting Monticello, Ash Lawn Highland, UVA. Will return if we are traveling back to Charlottesville in the near future.

“Recommend”

The hotel was nicely appointed and very convenient off of Rout 64 and close to the shopping district in Charlottesville. It looked like the rooms were recently reduone with new bedspreads, carpet etc. the only draw back was the in-room heating/air unit was loud.

“Pricey for location”

We stayed here during the east coast assault of hurricane Irene. The check-in staff looked overworked and sourly. I am sure they had a busy day and will probably filled to 100%, and would suggest that the management should have done more to provide relief. It was obvious that the check-in lady was a bit freaked out over the storm, and a manager should have been aware of the situation. We had driven for several hours and would have welcomed a smile. Overall, the hotel was in good condition and the room was very comfortable. But for future visitors, the location is a short drive from the popular areas of UVA and Monticello. On the positive, the location is less hectic than the Barracks Road area, where most of the hotels are.
