“Good place to stay when visiting UVA”

Hotel is just 5-10 minutes from the UVa main campus. Staff is friendly, continental breakfast is very convenient and rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed here the last 3 times we visited. If price isn't a factor then the university hampton inn is a step up. Hotel is scheduled for renovations and so hotel conditions are likely to improve in the near future, but are still fine for now. it is a little tricky to find the first time. It is next to the red lion supermarket - branchlands blvc crosses rte 29 but gps tries to take you a round about route!

“Comfortable”

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, though the ongoing alterations to the elevator put us off initially.

“Not Impressed”

Expedia made this hotel out to be something it was not. Not nearly as nice inside as shown, floors were sticky.

“Difficult to locate”

The hotel sign was hidden behind an overgrown tree. To get to the hotel you had to drive into a parking lot for a grocery store and a restaurant off of the main highway.
