“Good place to stay when visiting UVA”

Hotel is just 5-10 minutes from the UVa main campus. Staff is friendly, continental breakfast is very convenient and rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed here the last 3 times we visited. If price isn't a factor then the university hampton inn is a step up. Hotel is scheduled for renovations and so hotel conditions are likely to improve in the near future, but are still fine for now. it is a little tricky to find the first time. It is next to the red lion supermarket - branchlands blvc crosses rte 29 but gps tries to take you a round about route!

“Convenient to UVA”

Hotel was clean, well-maintained. It was very convenient to U of Virginia & close to main highways. We would recommend.

We visited the University of Virginia- historical, very nice campus.

“Great hotel. We stay here every time we're in town.”

This has been my hotel of choice the last three times I've been in Charlottesville. It has a great location which makes it easy to get to any place around town. Clean rooms and good staff.

“Good value in Charlottesville”

The hotel is located north of the downtown area but it is an easy drive to visit the sights and wineries of the region. Breakfasts were great and included in the price. Internet via free wifi or ethernet. Hotel staff tried very hard to please the guests.

Area recommendations
There are many good areas to stay in Charlottesville. The north side is fine, but the downtown area has some good choices.

“David M. Bailey memorial”

Hotel was clean, comfortable. Breakfast was good and well taken care of by the young lady in charge. Access to sites in Charlottesville was great. Easy access to hotel with plenty of restaurants and a food chain right next door. Check in and check out were very easy and quick.

Area recommendations
Monticello. Take the house tour and get in on the garden tour. The history of the house and the surrounding area were worth the visit. The campus of UVA was also close by.

“Good Choice”

We chose this hotel based on the reviews and were not disappointed. The only problem was finding our way there in the dark (This was our first visit to Virginia)- the street signs were not well lit in Charlottesville. I had phoned for directions and Sarah on the desk gave me good ones, but it was difficult at night seeing signs and street numbers. We had no difficulty getting around during the day. Everything about the hotel itself met our expectations.

Area recommendations
We went to Montecello and Michie Tavern and had excellent guides and visits.
Getting there
Arriving in daylight if unfamiliar with the area would be good.

“Would go back...”

Hotel staff was nice. Room was clean. Facility is close to John Paul Jones Arena. Would stay there again.
