“Will be back, yet again”

I think this Marriott location is very convenient to lots of shopping, various restaurants, and just minutes from UVA.

“Not up to par”

This property was in poor condition. The service wasn't much better. I was promised free breakfast as an Expedia customer and didn't get it. The entire property was lacking.

“Absolutely fine”

Downtown hotels were sold out for the weekend. It was Father's Weekend at my son's fraternity. So I just went with something close and dependable and afordable since I would not be spending much time there. The front desk staff was very nice. The room was large with comfortable bed and it had a fridge (not sure if this was an upgrade).

“Decent hotel on the outskirts of Charlottesville”

Nothing wrong with this hotel. Not elegant or exciting, but a perfectly fine place to sleep. We had a spacious room with two large beds. It's not right in town. It takes a few minutes to drive to the university or pedestrian mall.

Area recommendations

Downtown/university area. That's where the nicer shops and restaurants are.

“Convenient for UVA event”

We stayed at this hotel for one night before an event at UVA. The location was a short, easy drive from the campus. Check in was quick and easy, and our room was clean and comfortable. I called the front desk when I discovered that we did not have any bath towels. They arrived at our door within 10 minutes. We enjoyed the pool and spa. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, because we found a Panera's a short distance away. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the Downtown Mall--lots of cool shops and restaurants.

“Hard to find location, Horrible towels”

Overall, just as expected. My only complaint is that they had the worst towels I've ever had at a hotel. So thin and scratchy that describing them as sandpaper is only a slight exaggeration.

loved the hotel, the location, the cleanliness, the service..it was great...just the shampoo should be changed it was harsh.
