The atmosphere of Hotel Bikini Berlin is unlike any other hotel I've stayed in. The rooms are very modern and the entire hotel itself is decorated very well. It's not your "cookie cutter" hotel. The Monkey Bar on the rooftop was a fantastic place to grab drinks and overlook Berlin. Great music and drinks. We stayed here on our honeymoon and loved having access to the extremely nice sauna and lounging area. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodated us staying one night in the jungle themed room and another in the urban themed room. When I return to Berlin, I will definitely stay here.
Having just returned from a 4 night stay in Berlin I can't praise the Hotel Palace highly enough. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and didn't break the bank and the room was very comfortable and perfect for what we needed.
The other thing that was such a positive feature was the hotel's location - it's right by the Tiergarten and has a wealth of excellent restaurants within a 10 minute walk. All of the main city sights are walkable from the hotel as well as it being a 5 minute walk from the start point of the Insider walking tours which I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Berlin for the first time.
I'd stay there again in an instant!
Pros--Nice and comfortable hotel
Close to mainline and subway stations and Kudamm
Cons--same breakfast fare everyday
Breakfast staff pretty unwelcoming and dare I say rude
Bar quite expensive--check the bill; was charged for a drink that was not purchased( totally unacceptable for a hotel of this stature)
It was the evening of the German football cup final; barely 7-8 in the bar including myself and a friend. The commentary volume was on full blast; asked the staff to turn it down; were refused and told that it is not possible to do so.
Upon arriving and not speaking much German, we were made to feel welcome and the language barrier was almost none existent with the hotel staff. The hotel is an ideal position to be visiting Berlin zoo and other shopping destinations or sightseeing locations as the tour busses depart only a 10 minute walk from the Hotel.
The room was stunning with a minimalist design and looked a lot better than the pictures shown on the website, and might as well have been a 5* hotel , I could not tell the difference.
For the price (when booked in advance) the room and service was superb, and professional in every sense.
When I come back to Berlin I will definitely be staying here again.
We were visiting Austria and Germany during a very hot spell last week. We had an reservation at another hotel but discovered they had no AC. We were visiting Austria and Germany during a very hot spell last week. We had an reservation at another hotel but discovered they had no AC. Fortunately, I was able to change reservations at the last minute. The hotel's air-conditioned rooms were very very welcome. The room was pleasant and clean but small. The lobby was unusual. To enter you approached an escalator that runs both ways. If one wanted to go up when the escalator was going down, you had to wait quite a while or use the elevator that involved multiple, heavy doors.
Staff seem to have very mixed attitudes. One day they were happy and hopeful and the next day seemed irritated that I asked a question. Staff seem to have very mixed attitudes. One day the reception person was happy and helpful, and the next day seemed irritated that I was there. One day she offered candy and water and the next charged for it.
The location was good especially when a dork I rehired taught us how to use the buses and Underground.
As others have mentioned the breakfast seemed extremely expensive €15 however three doors down the street at the Dressler that was much better much much better, and affordable breakfast available.

The Amedia Hotel Berlin-Kurfuerstendamm is located in the centre of Berlin West, directly at the famous Kurfuerstendamm …More
Berlin Mark Hotel is located close to the bus station and the subway. The rooms are a bit outdated but OK for a short stay.
Parking is extra. 13 Euros per day.
The hotel advertises free wifi but it didn't work for us. For some reason, the signal wasn't strong enough in our room, so the only places where we could get a connection was by the elevators outside our room and in the lobby of the hotel.
Overall, not bad for a short term stay but also not outstanding.
The hotel is at very nice location in berlin (1 min walk to kudam st) where you can find all the shopping centers and restaurants
The hotel is little old and the rooms are old fashioned but very clean and cosy
The staff is professional, polite and speaks good English
Best thing is the +vip upgrade and free beverages offered by the hotel for expedia elite customers
The only bad thing about the hotel is the air conditioning as it is not working but the weather was cold so opening the window was enough for us
Located west of the city centre, Charlottenburg is a smart residential district home to the Charlottenburg Palace, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Olympic Stadium and the capitalist dreams of the Kurfürstendamm. In the former centre of West Berlin, now the Europa Centre, stands the ruined Kaiser Wilhelm Church. The famous avenue Ku'damm houses the Story of Berlin Museum and flagship stores for designer brands.
