“Not the best-but OK”

The hotel is an older hotel and hasn't been updated. The room was very spacious but the bathroom was cramped. The surrounding neighborhood looks very worn down. The hotel was conveniently located from downtown but all the restaurants and shopping area is moving south of downtown and the hotel was located on the west side of Charlotte. The continental breakfast was strictly coffee, juice, and cereal. I will say for the price I would stay again but would probably rather pay a little more and stay somewhere better.

I slept with one eye open all night - very dirty, disgusting place. Not a hotel - a crap hole.

“Never go back - creepy and nasty”

This hotel although it is located near the center of Charlotte was absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. There was no A/C in the main hotels making the interior corridors hot, dark and dank - giving it that Bates motel feeling. The man behind the desk during the day was helpful and nice, the barefooted man who was asleep in his chair with his feet on the desk most of the time was very scary. If I didn't have my husband with me I wouldn't have felt safe at all. The neighborhood is filled with tire stores and secondhand car dealers and we would not go out after dark. Breakfast was 1 type of cereal, milk that came from the carton in a fridge filled with beer and water, a loaf of bread and jelly!! Our room at one time had been forced as the door by the lock was all chipped and broken away. The beds were doubles with queen sheets on them which were stained and not changed. When I first got to the room I went to open the curtains and the whole rail, curtains and all fell off the wall!! The airport shuttle van that was parked in the parking lot with the hotels name on it had a window broken out on it and it was covered by a trash back. Some poor people with their luggage were getting into it when we left! NEVER AGAIN! I will writing to Rodeway to ask them why they sanction this nasty hotel.
