“Nice and convenient location but a bit aged”

Great location, nice staff. Good price. Typical Courtyard. The hotel is simply a bit old and worn but fairly well maintained and clean.

“Good choice”

Our first time at this hotel; usually stay in Matthews for the price. Hotel staff cordial and helpful. My husband didn't like the pillows...too soft.; I liked them. The only noise we heard was when someone in an adjoining room closed the curtains on the window...otherwise, no other noise so sleep was peaceful. Surprised that breakfast cost $$; used to free continental breakfast.

“Great Location to Everything”

The hotel was wonderful...great location, very clean - unfortunately the hotel cannot control who stays there. There was a large rowdy group in town during my stay and kept a lot of us up into the wee hours - couple that with a family with very loud small children and I didn't get much sleep. Suffice it to say - I would not hesitate to stay here again despite the noise.

“It's average”

It's ok if you are not looking for something fancy and just a place to sleep.

“Good hotel in Charlotte's Business District”

The hotel was great; most of Marriott's Courtyards are. The best are fantastic (although my husband mentioned that they were a little too soft for him--I thought they were perfect), the pillow are plentiful, the room was clean. There were only two problems: (1) The ice machine on our floor was broken (which I imagine is fixed by now), and (2) The high school basketball team that was in the room next to ours kept trying to open the connecting door to our room, as well as made ridiculous amounts of noise stomping up and down the hallway to their rooms. This last point I wouldn't have even brought up (after all, it wasn't the hotel's fault), except for the fact that the noise was so excessive and their attempts to open the door so disturbing (and all of it in the wee hours of the morning) that I actually called the front desk for help dealing with it, at which point they told me they would send someone upstairs to deal with the situation immediately...and then never did. That was definitely a little disappointing.

“Very Average”

This hotel was cute, in a convienent location to shopping and resturants. The hotel itself was very average. Nothing special about it, nothing horrible about it. It has a pool and a whirlpool. There was also a little gym. The room was ok. It had a tiny little balcony. I got a fantastic deal on it, so I was really happy.

“Service going down hill”

I've been going to this hotel for over 4 yrs and i've seen the service going down hill. 3 weeks ago i was given a handycam room... with special shower (no doors) and no closets or security box. The toilet was barely flushing and after a shower the bathroom looked like a pool..i requested a change and eventhough i paid for the room in advance the lady at the counter didn't find me (or a least show any interest on trying) a new room... she didnt even pretend to care. Thanks for the previous years but this was the last time on that hotel. They are plenty in the area.
