“Great location - great value”
The room was in a fantastic location. It was surprisingly nice -- very clean, comfortable bed, nice happy hour. Would definitely recommend.
“Great hotel, great town.”
We had a great 2 day stay at this hotel. The staff were fantastic. Happy hour with complimentary cheese and biscuits was a nice touch. The location is superb within walking distance to all the main sightseeing spots.
“Conveniently located in a lovely historic town”
I loved South Carolina and charleston so much - i will definitely go back one day - so i guess i would have been happy with most hotels there. But this was very conveniently placed without being too noisy. It is in one of the main streets and close to the main shopping street and the old market which sells lots of craft products. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Had breakfast twice. I only had the continental breakfast, but my son has the american Breakfast. Both were good and reasonable value - cheaper than a European hotel, and i don't know how that compares with other American hotels, as i have only been to one other and that was in New York which is expensive. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, was rather small, particularly the bathroom as the door opened with only an inch to spare between it and the toilet. Also our room view was not great. View depends on where your room is in the hotel. Appreciated the free coffee all day and cookies at various times, and also the free wifi and access to intenet on two PCs in annex to the bar. I would be happy to return to stay there - but would investigate a better placed room.
“Great hotel in a perfect location”
For our first visit to Charleston we could not have picked a better hotel. The King Charles Best Western is centrally located to all the downtown sites of this historic town. The rooms are impeccable as is the service. Nice touches include the Happy Hour fruit and cheese, ice water by the pool and a coffee machine in the lobby. The apples are delicious also. Would go back in a flash.
“"Very nice hotel"”
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, price was reasonable- what else could you want!
“Blowing in the wind”
Room was lovely and well appointed. AC fan speed could not be controlled or turned off and blew directly at the bed.
“Affordable hotel in a pricey city”
My wife and I recently spent a week in Charleston at the BW King Charles Inn. The hotel's location is great. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Charleston, i.e. Market St., Restaurants, Tours, etc. Parking and internet were included. The room and bathroom were clean. The hotel appears to have been recently remodeled. Had a great time...the hotel's convenience and comfort played a big part in this.
“Not worth the $$”
Old hotel, tiny rooms, no hotel ammenities, very loud noisy fan/heater/air, difficulty with trying to get late checkout after spending so much $
“Wonderful Location”
My friend & I enjoyed our stay at the Kings Charles. It's central location was within walking distance of many sights, shopping, & restaurants. The happy hour refreshments provided by the hotel were a nice touch, however, it would have been nice for them to include a small continental breakfast at no extra charge. Other than that the staff couldn't have been more accomodating, friendly, and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the King Charles. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
“It can't be Beat”
This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Western King Charles Inn--the first was approximately 15 years ago. If anything, I am even more satisfied with this hotel then before. For convenience, pricing within the historic district, and overal accommodations and service; I find it can't be beat.
