“Great place to stay.”

Very quiet, beautiful grounds. Close to main highway. We really enjoyed the rural location.

“Very Pleasant Modern Hotel”

We were pleasantly surprised with this spacious, modern hotel. It's very much set up for self catering with electric hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. You can get breakfast but they don't cater for any other meals. Our apartment consisted of two bedrooms and a lounge area which contained a small kitchenette. All the rooms were a good size and were cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Beds were slightly hard but that's just a minor quibble. The staff on reception were very helpful and spoke good English. We had a leak under the floor in our room and when reported the problem was dealt with immediately and we were moved to an equivalent apartment. You definitely need a car to get into the centre of La Rochelle. It would be a good hour's walk to get to the centre from the hotel. The nearest supermarket is just round the corner and supplies everything that you might need. Secure underground parking is provided. Swimming pool was fairly basic but wasn't too cold which suggests that there was some form of heating. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We would happily stay there again.

Traveller's tip
Although slightly further afield (1.5 hours drive), a trip to Puy du Fou is well worth a visit. It's a theme park that is one of France's best kept secrets.

“We will definitely use this hotel again”

We stayed in this hotel for one night on 22nd August 2009 and would definitely choose to stay here again. The rooms were spotless. There is a supermarket a 5 min drive away to stock up on any provisions that you may require. The Hotel is only a few minutes drive from the centre of La Rochelle and the airport. The only negative point that I can think of is that we could not find any restaurants within walking distance.

Traveller's tip
If you decide that you want to eat in the centre (or port) of La Rochelle my advice would be to park there during the afternoon as it gets extremely busy at night.

“Excellent rapport Qualité/Prix”

Hôtel très facil d'accès, très proche (en voiture) de La Rochelle, les plus de cet hôtel sont le parking souterrain, la cuisine équipée et le balcon dans chaque chambre, le sauna/hammam, la salle de fitness et bien sur... la piscine chauffée à disposition jusqu'à 21h. Environnement très calme Le seul défaut serait à la limite le petit déjeuner à 10 euros par personne sous forme de buffet et plutôt très basique.

Area recommendations
A conseiller à la Rochelle : - Le glacier Chez Ernest, un très grand choix de parfum, des glaces et des sorbets faits maison, au top!!! - La Brasserie des Dames en plein coeur du centre ville, vue sur les deux tours de la Rochelle, terrasse très agréable le midi comme le soir pour manger ou boire un verre. - La Moule Rieuse, restaurant très sympa, carte sortant du lot comparer aux nombreux autres restaurants, très bon rapport qualité prix. Par contre à déconseiller, La bateau Ivre, service très lent pour un diner très classique... Pour visiter, il y a bien sûr l'ile de Ré, l"aquarium de la Rochelle, le casino et la plage...

“excellent rapport qualité prix !”

hôtel sous forme de petits studios appartements, proche de la Rochelle (en 5mn par voiture, sinon pistes cyclables qui relie l'hotel à la plage en 10 mn !) Très beau F2 méritant 3 étoiles( et non 4). Le plus : SPA et salle de fitness à disposition dans l'hotel et gratuitement. Le personnel est charmant et disponible à tout moment. Un excellent rapport qualité prix par rapport aux autres hotels environnants, à recommander pour toutes les familles et en amoureux.

Area recommendations
A visiter : l'aquarium, le musée maritime, l'ile d'aix et les arcs commerciaux de la Rochelle, se laisser déambuler dans les rues !

“environnement en chantier”

Le site est en cours de construction dans une campagne sans intérêt. La gestion du parking entre les entrées et sorties est difficile !

“Belle déco de chambres, très bon confort, calme”

La déco des chambres est très tendance avec des meubles en bois faussement vieilli et linge écru, excellente literie. Environnement très calme car un peu éloigné du centre de la Rochelle. Le volume des chambres est aussi très appréciable. Parc autour qui doit être très agréable au printemps et en été (mon séjour était en février). Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct, mais néanmoins pas du niveau d'un 4 étoiles: plus d'oranges fraiches à presser dès 9H du matin, le réchauffe saucisses / oeufs brouillés etc... était là juste pour la déco car pas en marche, pas de pain aux céréales.... Sauna, hammam et salle de fitness sont bien présents mais un peu juste en taille... Donc très bon hôtel avec quelques petites améliorations à apporter.

“Domaine à cadre rustique mais proche de la ville”

La restauration du chateau va améliorer l'entrée du complexe dans ce cadre magnifique.Ici nous trouvons des cites trés proches,tel que le pont de Ré et bien d'autres.
