Super late check in but there wasn't a problem with that. Free upgrade from deluxe room to suite. Room was really clean and AC worked perfectly. Internet was really fast. My only complaint was that the shower door's hinge was loose, thus not allowing the shower to close all the way (room 606). Water dropped out as a result.
The hotel has a slightly overpriced spa which smelled great. The top floor is an amazing gym with a remarkable view of the city. Location of the hotel is great - very central in the city and all the can , minibuses, and tuk tuks know it. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Centara in 2 joint room, 6 people, very good service, comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast, excellent location, very closed to the night market and not far from the Sunday Market. Only 150 Bhat to/from the airport. We definitely will stay again next time we are in Chiang Mai.

Lovely comfortable Hotel situated in the centre of Chiang Mai. Very helpful staff. This is a quality Hotel at a very affordable price. Location is excellent. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy though the shower was always cold, luckily you could have a hot bath.
Manathai was definitely our favourite hotel in Chiang Mai and in Thaland. Away from all the noise and the traffic (although 10 mins walk from the City Centre Walls and still within the city, so not in a remote place), it is a real small village made of a few houses almost all facing the central pool. The Pool is small but super clean and can be used at all times although there might be no free towels late at night. The staff is the best you can expect and Manathai also hosts a small but very helpful travel agency, which I definitely recommend using, because there are so many activities to do outside Chiang Mai that they will be able to book it all for you at a very reasonable price, including being picked up for all the activities. The room was just stunning, they were so thoughtful, in every single detail of the furniture. Our only concern was the lack of a mosquito net and that the shower temperature was a bit temperamental. The breakfast was also very good, mainly Western. This is definitely THE place to be in Chiang Mai if you are not on a budget.
Great location, near all the temples and local sights. Right on the east edge of the wall/moat of the old city. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. Only downside if the typical high internet costs for Thailand's hotels.

I loved this place. It's not luxury, but its very acceptable. The staff is very nice, The room rate is good. I got the upgraded room and it was very large. After looking around a bit, its a good price if you want to be within walking distance of everything including restaurants, spas, etc. Food is only fair, but easy to find nearby. I would go again.
The Pornping Tower Hotel is well located in Chiang Mai, close to the night market. There are al kinds of shops and restaurants close by. The building itself is older than its competition, but in good condition. A lot of the hotel facilities appear to date back a few decades, but everything works. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous in dealing with me. It was a very pleasant stay. For the low price I paid, I think it's safe to say I got a bargain.
