Only 1500 characters to say all the good things about this hotel - 5000 is not enough ! Placed near the city centre , this is a riverside oasis of calm , good taste and cleanliness . It is well built wit quality fittings & designed with great architectural thought .
Service is first class , food excellent , cleanliness is unfaulted ,very difficult to find any criticism . Maybe some more colour added to the corridors as they look too minimalist . This is a fault of many ' bijou' style hotels .
I will book longer next time so as to spend more time in the hotel relaxing & incorporating more days mountain biking .

We stayed in Chiang Mai for a couple of nights whilst on our honeymoon. The hotel went above and beyond to make the experience perfect. There was a nice bottle of wine, chocolates and then later a lovely bath prepared for us to enjoy after a busy day walking around the markets. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

My wife and I spent our first night of the honeymoon here. What a lovely tranquil place to stay after the 24 hour trip from home they welcomed us so nicely then left us to relax. we used the spa in the hotel and was one of the best massages I have ever had. the lady carrying it out clearly had a thorough knowlege and qualifications of the body as she picked up that i had an issue with my shoulder. worked tirelessly on it and it has never been better.
the room was amazing with a double bath with our own personal water feature. the bed was extremely comfy. the room amenities were excelent and the food at the resteraunt was fantastic all in all a great stay we wish we had stayed here longer and will certainly go back.
We stayed at Centara in 2 joint room, 6 people, very good service, comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast, excellent location, very closed to the night market and not far from the Sunday Market. Only 150 Bhat to/from the airport. We definitely will stay again next time we are in Chiang Mai.

We had a great time in Chiang Mai which was enhanced by staying at Yaang Come Village. The staff were lovely and the rooms cleaned like new by the time we had returned from our days adventures. We would highly recommend this hotel which has all the facilities you will need for a great stay in Chiang Mai.

First time to Chiang Mai for us & loved both the area & our accommodation (see our review). Hotel is the smaller boutique variety in a very Central part of the city-sufficient enough away though from the busiest areas. Hotel staff were very knowledgeable & helpful in suggesting & arranging activities & tours & these were all terrific. Strongly recommend the Flight of the Gibbons activity, bearing in mind the activity is quite physically demanding & not for those petrified of heights.
On the hotel, the room was 'beautiful' as my wife described-true it was really well set up & all things worked (aircon etc). May not be the best suited place if you have young children but for young to older couples, perfect. Has a lovely outdoors area/courtyard with a pool where breakfast was served each morning-variety was more than adequate to suit most tastes.
With the markets (mostly night), these can get busy but they're well run & always felt very safe. Variety of goods for sale more than we expected (ie not just singlets & watches!) & appeared good quality. Suggest both the daily night market (walk from hotel) & definitely the Saturday night market (tuk tuk or taxi ride from hotel to Chiang Mai gate)
In summary, a great region to visit, safe & many things to see & do.
A very delightful and comfortable night. The check in was fast, the front desk was friendly and efficient. This was appreciated after 34 hours of travelling! The bed was comfortable, the room very quiet even though it was very near the night bazaar. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The only down side was the air con was very cold and could not be adjusted, so I just shut it off and that worked just fine. Also, the carpet needed cleaning. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable. The next morning, a good buffet was available, one table with Thai food, and another table with western food(eggs, omelets, potatoes/onion, sausage, bacon, etc.
There were many restaurants nearby and interesting shopping. The area is safe and pleasant. I would definitely go back here.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in April 2014.
Amenities: I was staying in Building B. I have not been into the rooms of other wings but I can see that the doors of guest rooms at the main building looked older. In building B where I was staying, the room does not look dated, is large, clean and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. There is a safe deposit box, 2 free bottles of drinking water per day (not sure if we can ask for more), a kettle and free tea, coffee and sugar. The bathroom and toilet is a little small but adequate. One annoyance is the presence of mosquitoes but this is a Chiang Mai annoyance as I can find mosquitoes elsewhere during the hot month of April, even at international F&B outlets like Starbucks, the airport and also inside a Thai Airways plane when it landed at Bangkok from Chiang Mai. The housekeeping staff provided an electric mosquito repellent. The breakfast is very good. There is a travel service desk inside the hotel.
A suggestion would be to make the exterior of the entrance to hotel (where the tour desk is) more prominent to tourists looking for it for the first time.
