Delightful and private
How surprising to enter this property a bit of a distance from Pakse but so worth the trip. Lovely accommodations and very attentive staff. Arrived in the rain to a small army of helpers to protect us and our suitcases. The views of the river are lovely and the restaurant was delightful. Breakfast was filled with homemade jams and fresh-to-order mains. A delight.

Fantastic River Mekong setting
Fantastic setting, friendly and helpful staff, and a great view from our top floor room. Only thing a bit disappointing was the dinner - nothing terrible but limited and rarher unexciting.

Outstanding in all respects. Special mention to the restaurant and the local / Asian food (didn't eat any western food) as it was absolutely superb. Couldn't recommend this place and the excellent staff highly enough.

Lovely retreat
Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the river. 2 showers, one inside and one outside. Spotlessly clean. The only thing that lets this Hotel down is the restaurant, breakfast order, everything is brought out at once, so the cooked items are cold after having cereal etc. Even when we ordered food separately the sausages were clearly not cooked properly. Had evening meal there once only, food was poor, ordered cheesecake which had clearly been defrosted as it was hot in parts. It's also quite pricey for what you get.

This place deserves all the amazing reviews - would def recommend to anyone travelling to Southern Laos. The staff are very friendly. The riverfront views are lovely as are the surroundings. The food in the restaurant was delicious and uses local produce

A peaceful and luxurious place
We had a great time involving good food and some nice massages at the River Resort over Xmas. The Makong view from the river facing rooms is beautiful and the 2 pools are both lovely. Such a peaceful place. P

We arrived early in the morning after a night on the bus. As our room was not yet ready (understandably), we were offered to help ourselves from the breakfast buffet which was very much appreciated. To our luck, the very hard mattresses were replaced after one night. The pool was very nice, the restaurant good. The staff was extremely friendly.

Nice ecofriendly resort on the Mekong River
My partner and I stayed at The River Resort twice during our travels around Laos. The resort arranged a minivan to collect us from the airport and thank goodness we did as it is miles away from Pakse airport! It is beautiful, so green and lovely. We were greeted nicely with a welcome drink and taken to our room. The rooms are exactly as per the photos you see on the various websites, they are clean and bright and nicely furnished. The inside and outside showers are a fantastic idea too. We had some issues with ants getting inside, so I asked for someone to come and spray which they did happily do and explained it was just wet season. The restaurant does great meals, breakfast is from a menu but is included in the room cost. The french toast was delicious, definitely worth trying! The lunches and dinners are also really tasty and reasonably priced. My advice is to eat dinner before dark in wet season though before the bugs come out!! This is not the resort's fault, it's just nature during wet season! The staff were all really helpful and the lady that works at reception who I think may be manager is really great, she assisted us with any queries and nothing was too much trouble. They will book tours, but be aware you are only paying for a driver, it is not a guided tour. They also arranged a boat to collect us from the other side of the river to assist us after a cruise - great service! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay with The River Resort!

Beautiful riverside location
Located on a beautiful stretch of rover, the hotel has well designed bungalows, one room on top with the better views, and a room below it. Rooms are big and beautiful and have terraces. Salt water pool is right next to the river and was very cooling and restful. Breakfast is a la carte, small selection and small amount, but tasty. Only problem was the air-conditioning, which could not handle the size of the space it was supposed to cool. Recommended for a relaxing stay.

Great riverside hotel
This was a great hotel to use as a base to explore the Champasak region. Riverside location was very beautiful. Staff was very nice. Would recommend arranging transportation from Pakse directly with hotel as it is considerably cheaper.

Dieses Hotel ist ein luxuriöser Ausgangspunkt wenn man den Süden von Laos erkunden möchte. Wir haben das mit 2 Tagestouren gemacht und unseren restlichen Urlaub hier mit einem exzellenten Spa (für mich die beste Massage in ganz Laos, sollte man aber rechtzeitig reservieren), zwei Infinity Pools mit Flussblick, leckerem Essen und guten Drinks entspannt ausklingen lassen. In der näheren Umgebung des Hotels gibt es außer typischem Landleben nicht viel zu sehen, doch wir hatten nach einer anstrengenden Woche im Norden sowieso nicht mehr das Bedürfnis das Hotel lange zu verlassen. Der aufmerksame Service des Personals ist besonders hervorzuheben, Vongkot und viele Kollegen machen einen ganz tollen Job!

Skønneste sted - høj kvalitet til en fair pris.
Det skønneste sted, vi havde 4 fantastiske dage. Alt fungerede så godt, det sødeste personale, og et fint og velholdt resort med en så fin have og direkte ved Mekongfloden. Vi blev opgraderet til Villa med riverview - dejligt stort rum, godt opdelt med værelse, bad og toilet, super seng og de bedste puder på hele turen. De laver den bedste mad i restauranten, det er en smule dyrere, end hvis man går ud og spiser, men alle pengene værd og fine portipner. To dejlige pools, begge med udsigt til Mekongfloden. Fin tourservice, hvis man skal videre, med afhentning med båd direkte på resortet. Dejligt med fri brug af cykler - ikke den bedste kvalitet, men vi kom langt omkring i forskellige landsbyer på dem, så hyggeligt. Vat Phou (Unicef Herritage Village) tæt på, absolut et beøg værd. Vi kan ikke anbefale dette sted nok og kommer så gerne igen.

Das Resort liegt direkt am Mekong. Zu empfehlen ist ein Zimmer mit Sicht auf den Fluss, eine einzigartige Stimmung bei Sonnenaufgang. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Personal angenehm und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist sehr gut, schön draussen im Grünen zu sitzen und die Stimmung geniessen. Dieses ruhige Resort können wir bestens empfehlen

로맨틱한 아름다움이 있는 곳
아름다운 리조트였습니다, 수영장이 작은것이 흠이지만 아름다운 정원과 메콩강의 뷰가 부족함을 채워주는 로맨틱한 곳이였습니다. 음식도 맛있었고요. 다시 가고 싶은 아늑한 곳이었습니다.

ゆったり過ごせるリゾートホテル
リバーフロントの2階に泊まりました。敷地やお部屋はとても綺麗で、おしゃれなリゾートホテルでした！朝はメコン川から昇る朝日をお部屋から見ることができました。レストランでもメコン川を眺めながら食事がとれてとてもよかったです。そしてご飯がおいしかった！ただ、足がないと周辺の観光には行きづらいので、このホテルでゆっくり過ごすことを目的に泊まったほうがいいなと感じました。乾期なら、近くの島までのクルーズもあるみたいです。

部屋の目の前にメコンの大河が広がっている。部屋に居ながらにして眺められる。見飽きない景色。
ゆったり過ごすのにいい場所。あれこれ忙しく旅したい人には不向きでしょう。いつまでも部屋からメコンの流れを眺めていても、見飽きません。悠然とした気持ちになるでしょう。夕刻になると敷地内の田んぼでカエルの合唱が始まります。虫の音もよく聞こえます。乾季ならばきっと星空が綺麗でしょう。

Das Hotel liegt ausgezeichnet am Mekong, ist sehr sauber und verfügt über einen schönen Pool. Die ganze Anlage macht einen gut gepflegten Eindruck. Leider hat sich bei unserer Abreise eine unschöne Begebenheit zugetragen, die den ganzen Aufenthalt ins schlechte Licht stellt. Ich vergass mein Garmin-Navi sowie einen Kopfhöhrer für meine Musikgeräte auf dem Nachttisch und meldete mich beim Hotel, sobald ich meinen Fehler bemerkte. Das war noch vom Flughafen in Paxse aus, kurz bevor wir nach Bangkok abflogen. Bei der Ankunft in Bangkok fand ich eine Mail vor, mit der mit mitgeteilt wurde, dass nicht gefunden wurde. Also durchsuchten wir nochmals unsere ganzen Koffer - ohne Erfolg. Auf nochmaliges Insistieren meinerseits bekam ich nicht mal mehr eine Antwort. Schade, dass ein unehrlicher Frontdesk das ganze Hotel ins schiefe Licht stellt.

ラオスで最高の宿でした！
陽気な女性オーナーが英語で出迎えてくれて、とても安心しました。 食事は少々高いですが、メコン川の夜風で涼みながらのディナーは良いものでした。 そして、川沿いかたのメコン川の夕焼けは、ラオスでの最高の思い出の一つとなっています。 次行った時は、ボート遊びもしてみたいと思いました。
