Visit to Champaign

Hotel was a good deal and not too far from Champaign. Internet was slow...service good...room looked to have been recently painted...shower creaked when moving around but was clean.

Friendly, enjoyable experience

Pros: We had a beautiful, remodeled room, and the staff was not only friendly, but very helpful.
Location: Small town . . we were visiting relatives. However, we did enjoy a day in "Amish country", about an hour away in Arthur, Illinois.
The hotel was in the process of remodeling. However, the staff went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. We highly recommend this hotel.

Under renovation

The motel is under renovation, and everything seems to be in a condition of disarray. The first two rooms they sent me to were not prepared. The drain in the tub of my 3rd room was clogged. If I could have cancelled my 2nd night without penalty, I would have done so. Can't recommend this property until they have the renovation completed and make sure their maintenance is up to date.

Nice Accommodations

Even though our stay at the Super 8 was satisfactory, we had a situation happen that turned a "happy" occasion (attending our son's graduation from the Univ. of Illinois) to a "sad" occasion. After checking into the hotel, we met our son at a restaurant in Urbana & 5 minutes after he left the restaurant to get his hair cut, he was involved in an accident (a car making a left turn in front of him - he was on his motorcycle). 2 hours later, he passed away. In the meantime, when our other son sent a txt msg to both boys' very close friend back home, he & his brother & father came down & joined us at the hospital. I called the Super 8 hotel with the hopes that they had a room that this family could stay in that night and they did. Of course, we told the people at the front desk what happened and after we returned home, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a very nice sympathy card from the staff at Super 8. We want to thank you for the accommodations & thank Super 8 for making our stay as nice a stay as possible.
