Beware....this place gouges you to over $350 a night when it should be $83. Apparently special weekends at college make them take advantage of everyone that simply just need a place to sleep.

I am sorry you feel this way Russell, but all the motels charge higher rates on special event weekends, as at normal times, or through the week, we do not make much at all, so to survive motels have to charge more. Like I said every motel in Champaign does this, and we are actually one of the lower priced motels.
The property was in poor condition. The shower had drop ceiling and the tiles were bowed (wife thought they were going to fall. Cobb webs in the corner and peeling paint on the shower wall. The TV was small and took a while for picture to become clear. The owner/Manager is really nice but at checkout 11:00 there was nobody at the front desk nor during breakfast. If you're looking for more than a very modest breakfast compared to other brands you will be disappointed.

Sketchie is the best way to put this Hotel. Our bathroom door did not close unless you pulled it up and into the hinge. I went to the desk twice and no one was there. Had to call on a phone and the man only said what to do, never face to face. Checked in with someone, but after that did not see staff.

Mam, October 20-22nd was Homecoming Weekend the only time someone was NOT at this desk was at late night after 11pm and I worked alone with my boss all that weekend because my co-worker was out of town. Nobody elderly wants to leave the room after a certain time at night and if he gave you instructions and you got it problem solved. There is no maintenance or housekeeping after 5pm so you would have had to wait until the next day for maintenance at any hotel. I apologize but we tried very hard for you guys to have a good experience, I worked over time and so did the boss. We apologize for your inconvenience and you were out most of the weekend in and out thats why you didn't see staff because I worked very hard that weekend. Sketchy? The defintion of Sketchy is not completely safe, not completely honest. Safety isn't in your review or dishonesty. I'm extremely sorry that you feel this way Jill if you come back you can stay with a 25% discount on your room and all you have to do is mention this review and be Jill. Thank you for taking the time out to review us!

We would like some feedback as to why we were a 6 out of 10 for your stay. We are also in the process of remodeling some parts of the motel.
Do not book unless absolutely necessary. Booked a room - was in the room for less than 15 minutes and a roach runs across the bathroom counter. Immediately go to the front desk and ask for a different room at first, clerk says they don’t have any. Ok cool, then I’m going to check out and request a refund for my 15 minute stay. Clerk says you must call for a refund. No worries, I’ll call in the am. Call and speak with representative from Hotels.com - service from them was excellent- they said let me call the hotel and request a refund. Denied - hotel says they won’t refund!
My suggestion - book only if absolutely necessary and do not bring anything into the room with you, as they might come home in your belongings!!

Kate, we have a pesticide service that comes bi-monthly and we killed one of those big black bugs and saved it the pest man called it a professional name but said they are more known as "earwigs" or "water bugs" they aren't roaches. I understand your concern completely, trust me I wouldn't be working here if they were roaches! I'm very sorry Kate and if you'd like to come back then I will give you a 25% discount on your room as long as it's not a "Black-Out Weekend". Sorry for any and all inconveniences you experienced due to the misunderstanding.
The hotel room had holes in the wall. The bathroom walls and tub were covered in mold. The bed sheets were covered in stains. We could not stay there and had to leave within 5 minutes of being there.

The black stuff on the wall in the bathroom behind the toilet is from someone not caring and leaving a candle so close to the wall that it has left that mark. Stained and sagging ceiling tiles, cobwebs over sink and in shower. Stained carpeting and chair cushions in room. Off putting smell throughout hotel. Room door did not fully close on it's own, had to pull it shut when I left room. Peeling paint and mold around shower area.

Did you call to the front desk? We could have moved you to another room possibly, and we do spray twice a month for bugs, so maybe someone brought them in that stayed there before you did. Sorry for your experience.
There was no cart to put my luggage on to get to my room. Im assuming it was the owner who stepped up and helped me with my luggage. He was always so pleasant to speak with. Our sink wouldnt drain properly and the faucet needed a washer and water sprayed onto the surface. Our dead bolt didn't work which made me a bit nervous.

We are going to fix the problems you mentioned in the above statement, but we have never had a cart for luggage, sorry for that, but glad to hear the owner helped you with your things, to put in the room.
Hole punched in the wall. Stains (blood?) on the chair. Strong smell of mold in the room coming from the AC. Carpets in common areas filthy. Checked out five minutes after checking in.

John we have a lot of trees and a garden along our property line. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the view but we are in a city and we don't quite pride ourselves on our view because we don't have much of a view but we do our best and we try to make it look as nice as we can, we are in an area with a lot of other businesses so we stay on top of the debris but on busy days it's hard to get everything. I'm sorry if this caused an inconvenience and I hope we see you again, mention this review and we will give you 10% off your next stay John! Thank you kindly John! Constructive Criticism never hurts!

Place was dirty and had dirty carpets!! Also the place had druggies hanging out in the hotel, lobby , and parking lot!! Weed smoke filled the lobby and rooms!!!

Deonte I'm sorry that you feel that way but being a minority myself and himself being a minority, I can assure you whatever you thought was racism was taken the wrong way. We do not discriminate against anyone, I'm very sorry that you feel this way and I'm extremely sorry you feel as if he was racist or rude but I can tell you knowing him almost 10 years, working with him I know better but I am sorry you got that vibe. If you mention this review when you come back in I can give you a 15% discount for your troubles. Again, I apologize for the misunderstanding sir.
Things are dirty and smelly from the time you walk in. Walls are filthy, carpets are dirty the room i had has black mold, no coffee machine. People are propping outside doors open. Bathtub was covered with cigarette burns.
Continental breakfast was walmart rice krispys, and brown bananas.

Hannah said nothing about the lobby she was thankful to have a room since Eastland Suites gave the room away, I did you guys a favor, my last room and you haven't been pleasant since the minute you had to pay for the room for Hannah. We were there for our daughters graduation from U of I- the room rate was more than triple the normal rate- they really do NOT have a breakfast- coffee & toast. The building was not taken care- holes in walls, walls dirty..absolutely not worth the price we paid per night!!

First of all, we do have more than coffee and toast. We offered bananas, granola bars, 2 kinds of cereal, milk, juice apple or orange, and oatmeal! As for the holes in the wall, we are working now on getting those things fixed. Sorry you were not happy, but the rates were very high everywhere in Champaign, as Graduation Weekend. We were actually one of the lowest rates around.
It was such a terrible hotel and I cannot believe we paid so muxh to stay there. It was so dirty and you could hear the creaks in the floor above us!

I am not sure who you talked to about your reservation, but it was a very busy weekend, we were all booked up. If you made it online, you should have called the online agency about this. I apologize for the problem.
Two stars is generous. I thought that it can’t be that bad given the ratings but it had a window to check in a multiple signs that you’d be thrown out if you were a problem. Kudos to the chambermaids who somehow made the rooms clean.

No one was at the front desk when I arrived. I called for service on their phone and waited 5 minutes for someone to arrrive. I had noisy neighbors in both adjoining rooms but the manager refused to give me a different room.

Stayed with family for 2 days to visit UIUC. Inn was clean and close to highway. Restaurants and gas stations were next door. Property was clean. Building was old but it was okay for me. Breakfast was okay - bread, butter, hot coco, milk, 2 cereals, juice, banana.

It was sufficient for the reason, just needed a place to stay close enough to the university to drop my daughter off at school. This is a great inexpensive place traveling alone to just sleep. Not a place I would go unless I had to. Front desk staff was a dear.
