We stayed here two night while along the Amalfi Coast. We were here in October so it was off season and we had the place to ourselves other than a few other travelers. We found the staff very willing to help us with just about anything and we had breakfast and dinners there since it was such a great place to relax and we had done so much driving to get there. Once you get accustomed to driving along the coast and if you have a car, drive down to Maiori and Minori. Parking can be a challenge in the afternoon and evening. Taxi is about 10-15 euros depending on which you co to for dinner.

Fantastic views and grounds, but rooms were past their glory days (by about 5 years).
We stayed in one of the rooms that wasn't in the actual Torre. The best way I can describe the room is more B&B in Yorkshire, rather than Hotel on sexy coast. Some people might argue that this is just character and tell you how awful it is to stay in boring, dreary Premier Inn type places - a fair point, however there is a point at which a room stops having 'character' and becomes a bit old & tired. The room and bathroom were clean, but just needed a little refresh.
The breakfast was nice and you had the option of having it bought to the table outside the room, which was a nice touch. However, this is again where the B&B side came through - the staff seemed nice enough (not much English) but they were not what you would class as 'seen-not-heard'... They arrived at 9 for breakfast and stayed until about 4.30 (cleaning the rooms etc), but during this time they were always close to the pool and not quiet - this gave you a feeling like you were staying at your in-laws family's house, perfectly welcome but never quite able to fully relax... However, there were lots of little corners around the place where you could hide away from the noise, albeit no pool.
This probably all sounds very negative, but overall it was ok. Its perhaps more an issue of managing expectations. For the area you would have to pay a lot for luxury. This was perfectly average - the luxury tag a bit of a stretch
Hotel fantastic, staff so helpful, one of our party had a disability and the hotel staff were so helpful, they gave us a personal hotel driver to take us to the main town whenever we wanted, as the hotel is located a short distance from town and the journey is all up hill. We had a wonderful holiday, and would most definately go back again. The Amalfi coast is stunningly beautiful, and this is our 3rd visit to this area. Would recommend this hotel to everybody.
