Hotel is in perfect location, everything is within walking distance (if you don't like walking, overground and underground stations are also few meters away). Our room is kind of small but from my previous experiences in Stockholm, I understand this is a general situation for most of the hotels in the city. Room is packed with very nice details such as trendy magazines, books and snacks. Hotel's restaurant is very popular, beautifully decorated and the food is also very good. Breakfast, which is open buffet, is the tricky part. If included in the room price, I would say go for it; if not included in the room price, I would say it is expensive. The only complaint I could make is that, sometimes our bathroom smells. By flushing the toilet once, the smell disappears but still it is not something nice.
We recently stayed at Biz Apartment Gardet on a working grandparent vacation. Other family members were booked for this location so that dictated our choice. It was an excellent one for us, conveniently located for job and touring. The hotel is comprised of apartments varying from studios (ours consisting of large bathroom with walk in shower, queen size bed, reading chair, dining table for two with chairs and a kitchen area with dorm size fridge, two burner solid surface stove top, ss sink and plenty of cabinet storage) to two bedroom apartments with queen beds, full kitchens (oven, dishwasher, full fridge, etc.), dining table for four, and living room area with sleep sofa and reading chair. All furniture and décor was impeccable Swedish design. Located near two major easy to use bus lines and opposite a large recreation area this largely residential area only needed more restaurants to make it perfect though grocery store was only a short walk away.
This is a perfect hotel for a short stay in Stockholm, located pretty centrally on Vasagatan. Getting there from the airport is convenient as the Arlanda Express takes you from the airport to the station in 20 minutes and you pretty much walk out from the station and into the hotel. The Fisk restaturant based at the hotel is not bad at all; beware that Sweden is expensive. It is also near burger/pizza joints for those who want fast food, and the waterfront, town hall etc are a reasonable walk away. The staff are friendly, the gym is well equipped though can get crowded with non-resident members, and has a small pool, sauna and Jacuzzi which are quite adequate.
Villa Kallhagen is the perfect option if visiting the city of Stockholm. The hotel is positioned by the Djugardsbrunnsviken canal (running between Djurgarden and Ostermalm), with views of Ladugardsgardet park on one side and Djurgarden (a national park) on the other. You feel as though you are staying in the middle of the countryside, yet the centre of the city is minutes away by bus (the number 69 stops right outside the hotel) or a very pleasant 25 minute waterside stroll.
The rooms are comfortable and quiet; we slept very well every night! The hotel breakfast offers a wide selection and is an ideal way to start the day. The staff were all happy to speak English, which was much appreciated! The Wi-Fi was reliable and easy to access and the drinks in the mini-bar were complimentary (a nice extra touch). Villa Kallhagen probably wouldn't be the ideal choice if you wanted to be out in the city late at night (due to the positioning), but is an ideal choice for families and couples wanting a peaceful and relaxing place to return after a day's sightseeing. We would certainly stay at the hotel again.
Despite only staying in a small room overlooking a courtyard, as opposed to the water on the other side of the hotel, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Radisson. The pillows were unbelievably comfortable (probably made even more so due to me being very tired after an early morning Ryanair flight to Skavsta) and the room was really quiet. The interior decor was very tasteful, particularly the staircase, and the food in the restaurant was very good. On the whole, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return.
This was our second visit to Clarion Södermalm. We returned because the first time we stayed we were impressed with the comfortable, modern rooms, the quietness in the room, the spacious and artistic hotel, the location and most of all The Breakfast! Everything you could possibly want for a delicious Swedish start to the day - it's a holiday in itself! Brilliant hotel....I'm sure we will be back for a third time

Though not the cheapest hotel on offer, this hotel has a number of advantages. It is very convenient for the bus station, central station, and airport express train. The buffet breakfast is excellent, though I advise getting there early to avoid the crowds that descend later on - this is a big well-occupied hotel. The four elevators each offering a different kind of music ("Rock", "Pop", "Jazz" and "Clarion Living") are a quirky touch of individuality in what is otherwise a pretty standard good hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff are excellent, the rooftop bar is OK.
