“"very pleasant stay"”
This was a clean, comfortable place with nice staff. I will return again. There is a Starbucks and mojo featuring stumptown coffee very near as well as outlet mall to shop.
“Best value close to the casino”
Have stayed there three times now. Attending event at casino. Much better value than casino. No view but good value. Only negative is the television, small older set. If this is important chose another, otherwise I would give it a ten.
“Greathotel”
We were relieved when we arrived late and found a lovely hotel with a huge room. It seemed like we should have booked our entire trip here. The room was one of the largest we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was really good. For the money, we couldn't have expected any more.
“Will not return.”
At check in we were met (not greeted) by a most disagreeable hostess who kept us waiting in an unattended hotel lobby for 10 minutes. She then treated us like we were interrupting something very important. Not a smile, not a greeting of hello just "I will be with you in a minute". When she finally got around to checking us in, she never smiled, seem dazed by a simple question about a shuttle to the local casino and dismissed us with a room key. She was having a really bad day and she made our check in chilly. The room itself was well appointed, clean and modern. Our room faced a parking lot, I think. The only view we had was of a grove of overgrown trees and vines with two extension ladders laying in them. Since we were 2nd floor, we wondered what the ladders were for (fire escape maybe??). We could hear road noise all night even though we weren't by the road. Long story short, we will not return to the inn based mostly on our unpleasant check in experience, the lack of view and the proximity of the hotel to anything worth walking to.
“A nice motel for the price”
Ashley Inn and Suites is a great place to stay in Lincoln City if being on the beach is not important to you. The lobby was attractive and the room quite large and comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than most mid-priced motels and even had several kinds of muffins. A clean and nice motel.
“I was very happy with our stay”
Our stay was a quick one, in and out. We got there about 12:30 am and left around 8:00 am. But staff was very nice, the room was clean and very comfy, I slept very well. We had breakfast in the the morning there and it consisted of eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, cereal, muffins, cookies, coffee, and juice. The juice tasted kind of funky and the coffee wasn't great. But other than that everything else was fantastic. I would stay there again. :)
“I would definitely recomend this hotel to relatives and friends.”
This hotel is home away from home - very clean and beautiful. It is on the main highway and quite easy to find. The continental breakfast was not the very best, but it was still OK. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, this is one of the nicest hotels around and would definitely be staying here again.
“Reasonable Price”
The staff at check-in were pleasant. We used the pool and hot tub and enjoyed both. The only thing we felt could be improved was the free continental breakfast. The selection was pretty slim. I would suggest they add a waffle maker at the very least. But, for free, it was acceptable! There is no ocean view, but then again you aren't paying for one. I would totally recommend this hotel!
“Worth the money”
Located in downtown Lincoln City and a Starbucks right next door.
“Loved the room - hated the attitude”
My friend and I checked into the Ashley Inn & Suites, July 24, 2011. This is a great property, but I think the economic crunch is getting the best of them. The night we checked in, the front desk was extremely unfriendly. Rarely making eye contact. It was impossible to tell if they were talking to us -- or just to each other! I cannot stress this enough. I travel a lot. And seriously, these were - hands down - the rudest desk clerks I've ever met. During our stay, we discovered this to be the norm. (Except one afternoon, a friendly woman smiled when we passed by. We only saw her once.) Suffice it to say "customer service" was terrible. They were probably understaffed and overworked. But why the adversarial attitude? I've never encountered this in my travels before. On the other hand, our room at the Ashley was great. The beds were extremely comfortable. They were a little slice of heaven! I slept very well. My opinion: The Ashley is cutting corners because of the economy. But they're cutting too many! The coffee was awful - a very inferior brand. Same with the afternoon cookies. Smelled promising, but they were lousy. The full breakfast was actually pretty good. But they didn't replenish food when it ran out. Suggestion: Focus on doing 1 or 2 things well. Refill the sausage & potatos! BUY GOOD COFFEE. Improve your reputation. & Drop the cookies. This could be a great place to stay. I really loved that bed. But I don't know if I could deal with that attitude again.
