“Convenient to airport. That's about it.”
We were flying out of Thessaloniki very early one morning, so we stayed at Athina Palace the night before to save on drive time. Plusses: fairly new, nice (and nice sized) room, clean, free shuttle to airport. Minuses: far from anywhere else, expensive cab ride into center of Thessaloniki, "impressive" Pelagos Club with fully equipped gym (website's description) was a ping-pong table, a small indoor pool, a sauna and three or four pieces of exercise equipment (I think a bike or two and a ski machine, or something similar). No attendant. And this is the only hotel I've ever stayed in that had no maps, no brochures, and no information about sightseeing in the town in which it was located. Unless you must be close to the airport, there's no reason to stay here.
“Great Hotel near Airport”
Nice Hotel, 5 Minutes away from International Thessaloniki Airport. (Breakfast at hotel restaurant only a 3 out of 5).
“Overall a good deal.”
The hotel was convenient to the airport and close to a bus stop that had busses into Thessaloniki - however, the bus ride into the city was close to an hour. Other than that, I can't say enough about the staff at the hotel and the breakfast! Both were outstanding. Rooms were comfortable and clean. AND the non-smoking rooms didn't smell like smoke. Overall a good value for your money.
“In nächster Nähe zum Flughafen”
Hat alles super geklappt. Das Hotel war sauber und wirklich sehr nah am Flughafen. Die Einrichtung ist gut, das Design ist ganz schick und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommmend. Wir wurden am frühen Morgen sogar zum Flughafen gefahren. Das Hotel ist wunderbar geeignet um vor einem Flug eine gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit zu bekommen. Meinen Urlaub würde ich da allerdings nicht verbringen, da es zwar ruhig liegt, aber die Lage wirklich nur für ein Flughafenhotel geeignet ist.
