Unacceptable

Posted 22-Aug-2014
The hotel was filthy and run down. Wouldn't have stayed a second night under any circumstances.

Cons: Update the hotel.
Room wasn't what we expected. It was very dated. The young lady at the front desk wasn't very knowledgeable when we asked a few things, but maybe she was new.

Good breakfast

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: Breakfast, good price
Cons: Update the bedding and tile in the bathroom. Also, the sink was cracked.
Location: Shakespearean Festival, Cedar Breaks, skiing
As far as the room goes, you get what you pay for---needs updating and a deep cleaning. But they had a great breakfast the next morning.

Pet friendly

The hotel was great, We traveled with pets and they were very accommodating. We had two rooms and they made sure that the rooms were next to each other. The breakfast was good too. The staff was fine.

Pool sides stained, water cloudy.

Expected to be able to swim after a long day. Pool dirty, hot tub had scum. Rooms seemed clean but spreads worn and in need of replacing.

BELOW low budget hotel. Dirty, dingy room.

Posted 03-Aug-2014
I saw some mixed reviews, but still chose this hotel/motel anyway. On a budget, but still would have paid an extra $30 to stay on the opposite side of the freeway. Of course I was too late to do that after I had already paid and checked in. King room was adequate in size but furniture was clearly just thrown in there (all crooked), dusty, the carpet was stained & did not appear even vacuumed. Bathroom had hair on the counter and in the tub. That was enough to make me request a different room. Front desk said they would have housekeeping come "re-clean" room, but I just requested to move. Replacement room was much better, smelled and appeared clean. BUT the toilet was broken. Requested assistance with that as well as an extra blanket from front desk. Neither arrived. Had I not already paid in full w/out an option for a refund I would have changed hotels immediately.

Nice enough

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Location: About 6 minutes from SUU and a couple of minutes from shopping.
It was nice enough but the staff wasn't very friendly, the pool was freakishly small, hot tub wasn't hot, and there were stains on the sheets. There also wasn't an information book in the room nor did the staff provide me with basic information such as breakfast time, check out time, etc.

Cons: Please get rid of the old school bedspreads.
Location: At the edge of the small, quaint town of Cedar City. Much to do. Go hiking, biking or camping in the beautiful mountains. Shakespearean Festival!
We stayed three nights at this hotel. Check in was quick with no fuss. Continental breakfast was good: fruit, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, cold cereal, yogurt, waffles, etc. Better than an overpriced meal at other hotels. My granddaughters ( 4 and 5) loved the indoor swimming pool.
