“cant wait to go back”

extremely helpful and friendly. i can think of nothing negative to say , only positive things to say. we had never been diving before, they have a dive shop on site. that was a great experience. snorkeling was great, you almost need to rent a car to visit all the spots to snorkel. 40 dollars for the car

we went April 21 weather was perfect

they have bikes at the resort. or rent a car 40 dollars a day

a few markets on the island, you almost need a car to get to them
Dining
the resort has great food they have buffet style not to expensive. they have a outdoor bar that food is great, and less than the buffet. and formal dining, we never ate there. there are a few other places to eat on the island, . and a few stores on the island, to far to walk from the resort
Outdoors or beach
nice beach by the resort, a lot of the island doesn't have much in the way of beaches. but we went to dive and to snorkel so it didn't matter to us

“IT'S LIKE COMING HOME”

I just love Cayman Brac. It's friendly people and beautiful weather make it a win win. I have been to Cayman Brac several times and stayed at Brac Reef most of those times. The resort is friendly, but professional. The staff from the manager to the cleaning crew, went out of their way to make my stay wonderful. I ate off the bar menu and was well satisfied. LOTS of food. so you don't have to do all-inclusive to eat well. I don't dive, and there's not much to do on the Brac, but relaxation is what I come for. The beach is small, but nice, and most days I had the pool all to myself. Get a massage while you are there! Top notch massage therapists'. There's nightly entertainment from Trivia night to a three piece band. Only complaint-Karaoke is ok but found it too loud from my room and it went too late.

Area recommendations
The whole island is only 2 miles wide by 12 miles long. You can see everything in one day, but make sure you go to the north side and see the native island jewelry. You will learn so much about the history of the island as well as seeing how Caymanite is mined and turned into beautiful jewelry. The caves are fun to explore. Some are on the low road, but it's fun to go up on the Brac (bluff) and look out to the sea from the lighthouse. Bring good solid shoes or boots for walking the iron shore.

“Brac Reef Resort. November 2010.”

At first blush the resort might not seem like much from the outside. Has a sort of Florida motel (a nice motel) look to it, but don't let that fool you. The rooms are great and the staff and service top notch. The biggest surprise was the food. Being cheap I figured I'd get a better deal on my own so opted out of the meal plan, but eventually ended up eating all of my meals at the hotel anyway. If I have to stay here again I would definitely go with the meal plan. Not that there are many other options available anyway (more on that shortly), but that's not the point. Simply put. The food at the BRBR is that good. The other thing that the BRBR has going for it is that they have bicycles available for the taking included in the price of the room. Its a great way of exploring the island. The island is relatively small and while you probably won't be able to cover all of it on a bike its a good option to have. Just don't do it the way I did. If you see signs that say restaurants with an arrow pointing that a way, don't believe them. I am sure eventually there will be some restaurants that a way, but I gave up after a few miles. And remember to bring along some fluids because once you've gone that a way you still have to pedal back.

Area recommendations
The Brac itself is an ideal place for those who love the water and what's under it. There are quite a few caves and nature trails to explore, but other than that there really isn't much. No real shopping meccas to speak of. No large boisterous entertainment strips. If that's more your speed than you are better off sticking to Grand Cayman. However, if you want some peace and solitude then the Brac is the perfect place to be.
