“2nd time there”

I've stayed here twice this year. Both times the rooms were clean. Both rooms had some minor maintainence issues but worth the price for the proximity to Capital and Campus. Nice swimming pool and good breakfast.

Older hotel.... for the price why complain!! Great location to everything we have a student at USC nice place like this is a GREAT FIND... We will stay again and again.

“Great bargain for game weeks”

This small, independently owned hotel was the perfect find for the UF - SC football game. It is an old hotel but it has character (a putting green?), is well maintained and has a competent staff. Plus free breakfast. Again, nothing fancy, but for 1/2 the price of the other hotels, this was an excellent value. We will definitely check it out again for return visits.

nice clean hotel,friendly service.breakfast was ok, not great.beds and pillows were horrid.bed so so uncomfortable.took a nice river walk, loved it, a big highlight of our trip.we were in columbia for the riverbanks zoo and the hotel was convienently located only 4 miles away.plenty of dining options are near by as well.overall the hotel was well worth what we paid, and i would return in the future.

“Nice older hotel in a good location that takes pets”

I was traveling with my foster dog and the staff was really helpful and friendly. I enjoyed speaking with the reception staff upon my arrival and they were glad to welcome us to the hotel. The hotel was located right on the river in a nice part of Cayce/Columbia. Unfortunately, the hotel was quite dated and in need of an overdue "freshening up". Since I was only staying the night and traveling with a dog, the hotel was just what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. I would recommend staying here, if you are looking for 2-3 star accomodations, near the University and the Capitol areas.

This hotel is older, but very clean, and very courteous staff. I enjoyed my stay.

“not impressed”

The room smelled like a public restroom. No smoking room with a butt can outside near AC. Bed was hard as a brick. I won't pick rooms with a 2 rating again.

“Convenient to USC”

Very close to USC, great price, older hotel, room was hot and musty until the air conditioner finally kicked in.

“Quaint”

Besides the fact that the hotel is out of date, everything worked and everything was especially clean for the age of the hotel. It was a deal and I would stay there again if I'm ever up in that area again.
