“For a Quick Comfortable stay”

I was in search of a low budget hotel stay. I have stayed at another Master's Inn in Mt Pleasant so I did not expect top quality. However, it served its purpose. The room was clean although upgrades would be nice. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quick stay 1-2 days only.

“Very Convenient Location”

I was only staying in Columbia for the night. It was conveniently close to the airport. I got there late at night, so of course food places were closed, but they had a vending machine with snacks. In the day, I realized how close it was to food places and a mini mall and other shopping places.

“Masters Inn, Cayce-- If cleanliness is not a concern, then this hotel is for you.”

Room smelled like pets have been in it. Overall cleanliness was horrible. Mold in shower was disgusting. Dressers had crumbs in them so i did not store my clothes in them while there. One front desk clerk on day shift was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped with directions that were very helpfully for maneuvering around the city. The rest of the staff was did little to show they cared if you were there or not; did not smile, act friendly and gave little eye contact when speaking or handing items, let alone to talk to you. Cleaning lady seemed annoyed that the room was still occupied at 10:30am when check out was not until 11am. The bed was comfortable and clean and there were several TV channels to choose from, but that is the only positive points to the room. I chose the location because it was near the airport and had a pool. Though i did not get into the pool as the lack of cleanliness to the room made me scared to use the pool. No wonder this hotel was so cheap to stay at. Preview pictures on line do no justice for REALLY knowing what the stay will be like.

“Satisfied”

The hotel was what I expected for the price. Everything had seen better days. It was clean enough, air conditioning cool enough (albeit noisy and leaking), TV and internet worked, bed confortable but the beding was alittle thread bear.

“Cheap Hotel”

This hotel offers extremely good rates for a basic room. The only real problem was that the light in the bathroom took 10 minutes to come on.

“If staying for Soldier Graduation is good, if not look for other place.”

Normal hotel for the price, good for staying couple nights. If spending two days for graduation of saldiers at Ft. Jackson is a good place. For other purposes I recommend a better place.

“The cheapest place in town.”

I went to South Carolina to see my brother's Boot Camp Graduation, even when I couldn't afford it I wanted to be there for him and Master's Inn made it possible through the affordable rate and expedia's air-fair is the best way to go.

“Good value, but lacking in certain areas...”

This hotel was not very expensive. It does have a decent swimming pool and it is in a fairly convenient location between the airport and Columbia SC. Ft Jackson is nearby, as well as some decent places to eat. That being said the hotel does not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotion, tissues or a hair drier. To certain travelers this is unacceptable. Now that liquids in any decent quality are not allowed on carry-ons this is especially inconvenient. There are stores nearby where these products can be purchased. I would recommend this hotel to economy minded travelers, as well as people who will not be spending much time in their room. I would not recommend this room to someone who needs to relax in their room for any amount of time.
