“Inexpensive and worth the stay”

Lanscaping and pool are excellent. People were very nice at the desk. Room has seen some wear but for the price this hotel is a deal.

“Very Convenient Location”

I was only staying in Columbia for the night. It was conveniently close to the airport. I got there late at night, so of course food places were closed, but they had a vending machine with snacks. In the day, I realized how close it was to food places and a mini mall and other shopping places.

Area recommendations
Cayce. It's close to things that you want to do as well as the airport, which is a plus.
What to pack
The Weather was cool for October. So make sure to bring a light jacket and/or sweater.
Shopping
There was a mini mall that you can shop for clothes, etc and other items.
Dining
Red Lobster in the area (food was delish and fresh). As well as other dining places.

“Masters Inn, Cayce-- If cleanliness is not a concern, then this hotel is for you.”

Room smelled like pets have been in it. Overall cleanliness was horrible. Mold in shower was disgusting. Dressers had crumbs in them so i did not store my clothes in them while there. One front desk clerk on day shift was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped with directions that were very helpfully for maneuvering around the city. The rest of the staff was did little to show they cared if you were there or not; did not smile, act friendly and gave little eye contact when speaking or handing items, let alone to talk to you. Cleaning lady seemed annoyed that the room was still occupied at 10:30am when check out was not until 11am. The bed was comfortable and clean and there were several TV channels to choose from, but that is the only positive points to the room. I chose the location because it was near the airport and had a pool. Though i did not get into the pool as the lack of cleanliness to the room made me scared to use the pool. No wonder this hotel was so cheap to stay at. Preview pictures on line do no justice for REALLY knowing what the stay will be like.

“A roof over my head.”

I am glad to have stayed at the Masters Inn. It was a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. It would be great if the hotel could be updated!!! Great location!

“It's ok for the money”

Well, this hotel needs serious updating. It's easy access to USC that is the only reason we stayed there. The location is not bad....but the room was dingy...the sheets were scary so I sprayed them...the pillows had no filling very limp. everything was sort of dusty. I'm sure if our room was this way others were the same. Majority of the people that we seen there were just there for 1 night going to the graduation the next day. Oh and by the way no small breakfast. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a cheap overnight stay it is very convienant to downtown that is the only thing good about it unless they update it.

“Fort Jackson Graduation 042811”

I was visiting South Carolina for my brothers graduation @ Fort Jackson (so proud of you LENGZ ^_^)! The hotel is located right in the middle of Columbia Metro Airport and Fort Jackson, everything else was within walking distance. The employees were friendly and room service was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting for a Fort Jackson graduation because of it's location and good service. My only dislike was the smell of the room, but I got use to it. Overall, my stay at the Masters Inn Economy in Cayce was "okay".

“Serviceable, but not great”

The hotel smelled terrible. I wasn't in my room very much, but I wouldn't stay at this location again.

Area recommendations
The University of South Carolina area was great. Lots of interesting places to eat and places to see. Fort Jackson was quite fascinating as well (I was there for my wife's graduation).

“It was comfortable.”

The rates were good and was easy enough to drive to Fort Jackson for my sons graduation.
